WHOOO TUESDAY!!!

Apr 24, 2007 20:50

Yeah, so today was an exciting day. The whole pipe thing was exciting but I knew about that last week... Ever since I started the podcast thing I've had nothing but support from the wrock fans, and from (Marc Gunn) marcgunn. Ever since I discovered his Irish and Celtic Music Podcast and through that show discovered his solo work and his work with Andrew in the Brobdingnagian Bards. He sent me a song to use in the show, and I used in the first episode (and was singing along to it rather loudly this morning) and has been nothing but supportive ever since. As a bit of a thank you I sent him a copy of The Quaffle Kids' "Common Welsh Green" because it screams of Irish drinking song. And I got to participate in a cd giveaway of sorts. For the price of my opinion I got "Irish Drinking Songs: The Cat Lovers' Companion" You can read the review in an earlier post. And today he wrote an entry called: Podcast of Awesome - Wizard Rock It totally made my morning, I didn't think it could possibly get better (and that's where I was wrong)

Thinking I'd just go eat the same old food in the same old place wasn't that appealing, so when Rory called a little after 5 asking if I wanted to go out to dinner I jumped on the chance. I like her. She's super nice and has a ton of great stories and a few prized phone numbers in her cell (including but not limited to Brian and Alex). So we get to talking about wrock, and she says "hold on, I'm gonna call Alex" So she talks to him a little bit, then tells him that she was eating dinner with someone who would like to say hi... At this point my stomach is doing that fangirl thing where if I attempt to eat anything I'll gag it back up... And so after reminding him who I was "From the Podcast of Awesome...You told me about her in the first place!" she hands over the phone.

I then talked about trail mix and cherry coke with Alex Carpenter. *insert fangirl moment* And about the difference between French and Italian drivers in Los Angeles....And then he almost got run over. I told him he was not aloud to get run over until after the seventh book comes out because the fans need his wrock.

Then Rory and I talked wrock some more... It's great to talk to someone about "Alex" "Nina" "Lauren" "Brian and Brad" "Joe and Paul" "Matt" "Brandon" etc. without having to explain which band they're from. And we talked about possibly doing a big podcast type thing with Matt, Tom Riddle and Friends and the other bands that will be at the Wilmington book release party... Basically it's gonna be wrocking. This summer is gonna totally kick ass.
