Slacking or Just Avoiding it?
It's a bit obvious that I haven't posted lately. Since I turned in my declaration of a major form I've done all sorts of English major type things.
Okay, not true.
I haven't done much of anything lately. Just the usual. School stuff and working for the Voice. I might actually apply to be chief copy editor next year after some encouragement from Missy, one of the A&E section editors. (Yes, I realize the structure of that sentence sucks/is non-existent but whateves) We have the same birthday too lol. Oh,and I also got approved to study abroad spring semester. I just have to apply to Aberdeen and we'll see what happens from there.
In other news: it's my first Wrock related event of the New Year! Not since Brian, Brad and Matt where here November 30th have I been able to enjoy the company of a wizard rocker. So, to make myself useful I'm continuing my duties of Rory's houself (by babysitting her kid while she's at work) and then wrocking my little heart out with Alex and Toby later tonight.
Stark County Public Library, Jackson Township branch in Massillon, Ohio (across from Jackson High School). 7:00 pm. Be there, or be a Muggle.
It's weird though. I don't feel like I'm going to see a concert. Nor am I overly excited about it. Really, I'm just seeing some friends I haven't seen since August! *shrug* I've been having awkward feelings about Wizard Rock lately that haven't really been good for me or my podcast. But perhaps after tonight I'll be re-inspired to start up the podcast again (after I return from New York and Monica's, and am safely back in Woo and whatnot)
In the words of Alex Carpenter, "I'm going looking for trouble" .... Hopefully I'll get a chance to talk to Matt and Jace at Monica's house next Saturday about touring with one of them for a bit. I really hope I'll be able to. Okay, so a girl can dream can't she? But I'm really going to try and make this happen. How am I supposed to know if I can handle a semester abroad if I can't handle a couple of weeks on the road? lol...Yeah, bad comparison, I know...
Well, I'm heading over to Pogo.com. I've got another hour to kill before I gotta wake up Reagen and give her a bath. Silly girl got honey in her hair....
