Hero has met his love interest, and they are killing me with UST. He's a fighter! She's a princess! All their moments are stolen and guarded, sometimes quite literally, like when he's in the palace and they have to pretend to be strangers and can only sneak glances through the Veil of Proper Decorum:
Did I mention they meet when he's her slave? And then he saves her from the plague (I don't know, this drama really likes the plague) and they're alone and unbothered in quarantine so they actually try to hide the fact she's recovered so they can spend more time together -- if you ignore all the plague corpses it's actually quite sweet. He brushes her hair, feeds her soup, and holds her hands when she takes her first shaky steps after recovery, so she can dance.
Her dancing is super pretty. There's one in particular... okay, I just have to picspam it.
This is when she DIPS HER COSTUME IN INK AND STARTS PAINTING. WITH HER FEET. WHILE DANCING.
It's hard to see in caps, but she's inked her long flowy sleeves and is twirling under the fabric and slapping them against it.
The red sun? Yeah, she topped it off with a little blood from her fingertip. That's just how she rolls.
