Five Things
Haven't done this one in a bit, hey, here it goes.
1: Being Human: The Tom And Hal Hour/Love Affair
Yeah, the show is suffering the classic case of 'we're in our fourth year, so fandom let's bitch about it' syndrome. Which would be fine but two episodes in, I am literally struggling to find any actual fault with the series. The Eve storyline is being critiqued, despite the fact that we haven't seen it played out in full and people can't see to accept the fact that the actors who played Mitchell, George and Nina all left off their own accord. As for the Odd Couple banter between Tom and Hal - I could watch multiple seasons of that but considering that BBC3 seems to be on an axing spree, my confidence for this show getting a fifth run isn't at an all time high. Still, if Toby Whithouse gets another gig in 2014 or beyond, I'll be cool.
2: Pancakes
Yeah, I'm not bothered about Valentine's Day but Pancake Tuesday, I am looking forward to on the other hand. Usually with syrup and not butter though.
3: Whitney Houston
I was really shocked to read about this. I wasn't the greatest of fans but it's hard to deny that her music had an impact and I felt bad for her struggles and at 48, it's still an incredibly young age to die at. RIP, Miss Houston. That being said, musically, I did like songs like My Love Is Your Love and It's Not Right But It's Okay.
4: When TV Franchises Collide
IDW are doing a Doctor Who/Star Trek crossover comic. I've never had a big thing about these two franchises crossing over in any capacity (RTD wanted to do a TV version of it when Enterprise was on the show) but this does look rather cool, I have to admit.
5: Ed Sheeran - Drunk
What I'm currently listening to at the moment.
