Kong Fu Hustle wins!
The Golden Horse Awards, that is. That's the Hong Kong's version of the Oscars.
The film, which I love dearly, won Best Picture, Director, Best Supporting Actress and other awards. The Best Supporting Actress nod went to Qiu Yuen, the veteran actress that director (and star) Chow plucked from retirement to play the magnificent role of Landlady.
I'm very happy about this win. Extremely well deserved, as this is one of the most enjoyable films I've ever seen. Which reminds me that I should post about G.O.R.A., the magnificently fun Turkish SF parody I watched at ICon. But I'll save that for another time and get back to work.
