So I guess yesterday there was some kind of curse that made people think they were from the 1920s?  Not too sure about some of the slang people were using.  One of the good things about films back then were that they were silent and you couldn't hear the ridiculous lingo.  Giggle water?  Christ, that's terrible.

Nosferatu came out in 1922, you know.  It was supposed to be a remake of Stoker's Dracula novel, but Murnau couldn't get the rights so he just switched all the names around.  It didn't really work, and he got sued all to hell by Stoker's family later on, but it was a classic film.  Great use of light and shadow effects and slow panned shots.  Schreck was an awesome performer and he really went all out, never appearing on stage without his costume and full make-up on.

The rumour on set at the time was that Schreck really was a vampire.  Totally untrue.  They don't wear that much eye-liner.

fanboy for film, movie nerd, henry hates vampire movies, i am a geek, lol director-talk
