Pancake Day...
"My adventures into the Capital"
This weekend me and the lovely girl went into London! And it turned into a really nice weekend, we drove down from Leamington at about 8pm on Friday night, to chesham in Buckinghamshire, to stay with Matt and Nadine (Em's brother and his GF) it was his birthday on Saturday so we had pink wine and chocolate cake, and gossiped till midnight!
Got to curl up in a nest of duvet and sleeping bags getting up about 10 on Saturday to get down to Rickmansworth to get the tube into the city. Trains were replaced by buses, and late and delayed so i missed seeing Paul, Khaled, Paul and Sarah, but Em went to meet them as i went to see lizzie... was really good to see her, we went to browse the V&A and look at lots of old stuff... then down to knightsbridge to look at the fancy cake shops and to mooch around HARRODS... I even treated myself to a dozen krispe kreame donuts from the cake hall in Harrods, before we went and had tea in one of the inner sanctum tea rooms, felt very posh and british browsing things that we can;t afford!
We rushed back to get changed to then hop into the car to drive to South of the River, to go to The Renaissance Rooms in Vauxhall to go roller disco'ing... turned into a pretty fun night, but would have been better if more of our friends werer there, matt, nadine, Si, Kerry and all of her friends were out, so me and Em just skated around by ourselves, ended up being there for 4 hours... and man did my feet hurt afterwards, but it was nice... Got back to Chesham about 1, so crashed and burned!!
Sunday was just a lazy day, driving home, and eating far too much food...!!
Em's back here tonight as i'm going with her to get her form done at the x-ray place, so cuddles tonight, and the morning off work tomorrow! WE're even making pancakes tonight when she gets here, yummy food! :)
