Just a short update, I figure y'all deserve it. The extremely low blood iron level was, in fact, machine error. The only thing wrong with my blood is that it is pissed for having to share the same veins with my cholesterol which is in astronomically high numbers.
Secondly, I have found work through a temporary agency and I'm making $12 an hour. I have no idea if I'll be able to make it into my new apartment and pay my bills on it, but I'll see.
