It had been months since she placed the call. When the phone rang she had no recollection who it was. She smiled at first, hoping it was Jack.
"Do you still need me?" The voice was changed but the inflections the same. He could hear the disappointment in her answer.
"Not anymore, Doctor."
"I was 'out-of-pocket'." He apologised.
"I've lost Jack." She pleaded.
"You've lost Jack? Ianto...?"
Her silence explained the tragedy without words. Across the stars he felt her pain.
He set controls on his console till it located familiar coordinates.
"I'll find him, Gwen and bring him home."
