Sonic the overacheiver

As i'm going through stacks of mismatched and otherwise indecernable DVD's. I came across i copy of sonic the hedgehog, and it got me a thinking, could sonic be a metaphor for the overachieving youth of today? We're all taught from a young age to reach for that brass ring. Sonic however says "fuck that" and goes for the gold. One is not enough however. He's driven to grab one after another with no end in sight. After grabbing 100 of his precious perfect circles of achievment he gains the strength of will to overcome even death, yet he still must grab more rings. It's never enough, the poor lil bastard is obsessed with gaining more, even as meaningless as it all is in reality. We have an entire generation raised on this philosphy, do it because you have to. Grab the ring, get the grade, do this do that. No real motivation other than you know you need it. Perhaps i'm overthinking it. Yeah I is.

In other news fuck it's hot in my room. Where's a breeze when you need one!
