I made an entry on August 15 of last year in which I mentioned liking songs such as the one you mentioned for the very reasons you stated. I said, "Like many songs I find appealing, it’s bittersweet."

In that entry, I mention a song called "Coming Up Close". Like the song you mentioned, it's a song I can listen to over and over again (which I've been doing since its release in the 1980s) and never get tired of hearing it.

Another great song is "The Gift Of Life" by Desmond Child. Very sad, yet still one that reminds us that life is a gift.

I'll have to check out this Cranberries song. I know her voice is really good. I'll download it this weekend.

Love isn't really love unless it comes without conditions. Remember that.

I'm always discovering new music myself, it always makes one feel good once they have discovered a new band or song. I can play a lot of songs over and over and not get sick of them. Sometimes I discover music through friends and things like that. I also like The Cranberries btw.

Nice lyrics.
Yes it is great to find songs like that. I find 'Space Monkey' by Placebo does it for me everytime & the live version of 'The Mark Has Been Made' by NIN I can play over.

:)
Unconditional love, mmmmm! beautiful.

It sounds like a neat song. I might have to look it up next time I'm on the computer I have my ITunes installed on :)

Oh yeah...I've got a song like that. Josh Groban's "When You Say You Love Me" It's my wedding song. I've listened to it in the car, on iTunes, while cooking dinner (as part of the CD) and it's on my iPod.

Whenever I hear it, it makes me smile...it's just a warm, happy, love is a wonderful thing kind of song.

I never get sick of it.

I don't want to clog your comments, so lyrics are here: http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/joshgroban/whenyousayyouloveme.html if you're curious. ^_^
