I finished reading Pure Blood by
blackaire . It's her second book and I enjoyed it as much as her first. I really like her main character, Luna, and the world she's created for her. Luna's a detective and a werewolf. She's constantly battling the stigma and tensions of being a were, while trying to stay on the force. It makes for an interesting character. The book is well paced and hard to put down. I'm anxious to read the third volume due early next year.
We had a good day at the bookstore yesterday. I'm stiff from moving boxes of books around all day, but we had a steady stream of customers due to a used book sale and the day was productive. I got the bike back home and in the garage just as it started to rain.
We're all happy the the RNC is over. I hope the city fathers don't submit us to anything like that again. Our cities were taken over and all kinds of nuts came to town, some outside the convention and some inside. Good riddance.
I'm starting to read L.E.Modesitt, Jr.'s book, Mage-Guard of Hamor. It's the 15th book in The Saga of Recluse. I've also been spending the week in the DC Universe, one of my favorite places.
I also enjoyed the return of Bones on Wednesday.
