Erin and I are getting settled down again, we're back in Texas with Life Time again.

Work is going well, and for the most part life is going pretty well.

Shitty thing is, my second day back at BJJ I injured my knee. Went to the ortho, apparently my lateral meniscus was so shredded that it barely showed up on the MRI. This means it had been torn several times previously and I just hadn't done anything about it. I guess thats one of the instances where a high pain tolerance is a bad thing, I never realized I had hurt it that bad.

Fast forward to Wednesday. Surgery.

A lot more damage in the knee than the doc expected. Several free floating peices of meniscus stuck in the knee joint, about 70% of the lateral itself came out, along with buckets of scar tissue. The surgery ended up taking twice as long as the doc had originally expected. I highly doubt that is a good thing. Luckily I got a shot of local in the knee before I left so I was pain free for most of yesterday.

Today. Holy. Shit.
It feels very much like a bomb went off in my knee. It's unstable as hell, can't really put any weight on it, nor can I bend it at all due to swelling. Thank god for 2 10mg Norcos (as perscribed) every 4 hours. Well aside from the fact they make me terribly sick to my stomach. Lots of throwing up, but its better than the knee hurting any worse. They gave me a secondary pain killer (the name escapes me and I'm not getting up to find out) to control nasuea. Yeah. Not working so hot.

Well thats my life, how the hell is everyone else?
