Superman Returns.
Really well done. Great score, John Ottman did a great job. Amazing casting job, some good humor, <3 Kevin Spacey, believable yet comic-book.. well done. I would see it again.
Then at dinner, the Rents and I are discussing all sorts of intriguing things (I love having this kinds of conversations with them, it's great) like the definition of honor, government stuff, taxes and where it all goes, future, etc. I swear, some of it really made me want to go on an entirely different tier and get into the governmental side of things for a career. I've always had some random thing in me that's wanted to do foreign affairs or journalism or something. Mostly because I get so heated up about the shit that happens in this country--granted, we're a lot better off than others, but still. Grah.
There's too much that I want to do/can do with my life. Music Theatre. Music Performance. Music Education. Business. Massage Therapy. Film Scoring. Cooking/Catering. Photojournalism. LOTS else. *sigh*
And I tried to practice the oboe today --GASP!!-- but I couldn't because of fucking reeds that never are good. Surprise, surprise, I know. I would much rather just say FUCK IT and not play the damn thing on days like that. But whatever.
I'm trying to practice the guitar each day, working on chords or a song to at least get my fingers used to it first. I've always wanted to learn, so it's time I freaking do it. And then thinking about Avalon stuffs and playing piano.. one of the songs is almost done, another has some ideas rollin' with it. It's difficult to put the music side into them. You wouldn't think it would be. Workin' on it.
My Dad handed me a book in a series he and my Mom are reading by Terry Goodkind, fantasy writer, book 1 is "Wizards First Rule" in series The Sword of Truth (I think). He says it's one of those OMG-I-CAN'T-PUT-IT-DOWN books. Well, he didn't exactly say it like that lol..
AND I got to talk to Chris today. Miss miss miss miss him. <3 He's one lucky bitch too, he's been doing martial arts stuff at a Shaolin temple in China--studying all sorts of stuff at the same place Jet Li did. INSANE. He's coming back soon though, leaving for Michigan on Thursday. Huzzah :) He gets me giddy.
Time to .. whatever lol.. read, think, plan, rest, shower, breathe, run.. etc.
