What a crappy week for the sleeping!

May 09, 2008 07:06

I feel like I haven't slept more than 20 hours total over the course of the week. For some reason, though I'm not officially allergic to anything, I'm having allergies (stuffy nose, sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, coughing) because there's so much pollen in the air AND I've been breathing in a lot of dust and stuff at the house. So I haven't slept through the night since, oh, Saturday? And every morning this week I've woken up as early as at least 5:45, if not earlier, and been bone tired due to it.

It's been so busy also. We got the countertops installed on Monday and they do look really nice. I'm pleased. Once we finish getting the drain to not be a little leaky (waiting for the latest attempt at sealing the drain in the sink to dry before testing again) we will officially have our kitchen back. However, the floor tiles won't be installed until after I get out of school in June, because it's just impossible to take any more time off work.

I had to do kindergarten screening yesterday - I didn't have any refusals, Cayla just had one. A couple very movement-prone kids, but for the most part everyone seemed very good. Either that or they were all just nervous. I'm also trying to get work on my class finished up. I'm so close, yet so very far. I have to do DIBELs next Wednesday and Peabody testing the Wednesday after, then my next class starts the following week, and then I have to do report card testing, though for one student I have to do her testing early because her family is moving to Florida and decided not to wait until school was finished here. I don't know why people do this to their kids.

NYC was fun, I will post pictures and stories soon, I hope!

32 days left till I'm on summer vacation!
