I really don't particularly feel very good this week. Since Tuesday I've felt under the weather - sniffly, sneezy, sore throat-y. This morning in particular my throat is raging, and I'm exhausted. It's been a rough week at work too - yesterday I wrote my third behavior referral for one particular student since Friday, and since he wasn't in school Tuesday that means a referral for every day since Friday, basically. The rest of them have just been insane as well. Only 30 days left. I love my class and I know they've come a long way, but I feel like it's a battle to get through everything because all they want to do is play.
Last weekend was fun and busy though. Drove down to PA to visit Aaron's family for Mother's Day. On Saturday, dodging rainstorms, we went to the Clarion River to go canoeing/kayaking (Aaron and I canoed), and on Sunday we went out to the "homestead" for a cookout for Mother's Day with Aaron's parents and brother, his gramma, and his aunt and uncle and their new baby. It turned out to be a nice day even though it was kinda breezy. We hadn't been down since Christmas so it was good to see them.
This weekend is going to be busy though, and not in a restful way at all. Professional development again from 9-3 on Saturday (working on Saturdays sucks), and then just getting other things done that need to be done, like cleaning my room and ironing and laundry.
The wireless DDR pad I ordered from Walmart doesn't work. It won't register 75% of your steps, so I'm taking it back. I found another site and ordered the regular Konami pad like the one that came with Aaron's bundle, so hopefully that'll be here in a couple weeks. DDR is good exercise.
I did some yoga on Monday when I got home from work, it was nice and relaxing. I haven't had a chance to do more between PD and other stuff to be taken care of, but hopefully things will start evening out now.
