Could be a five day weekend before it's all over - massive lake effect snow has Oswego County pretty much shut down. I won't be surprised if we at least have a delay tomorrow, another snow day will basically throw my plans for this week in the pooper.
Got an email from Roseann, she wants to do the 2nd formal observation sometime this week or next. We can pick the subject area, but I don't have any good ideas for what to do. I was thinking I could do something about President's Day, but all we basically do for that is read a book about Abe Lincoln and a book about George Washington and call it a day. I'll have to do a little thinking and brainstorming.
My neck is feeling better, still a bit sore and stiff. At least I have most movement back again, and it's not debilitating pain. I likely won't take any of the muscle relaxer after tonight before bed, just the Motrin. Mom thinks the muscle relaxer is making me cranky, because I've been grumping around since I started taking it, apparently. I can't take Benedryl for the same reason.
The weekend was fun. Friday night Aaron and I went to see "Pan's Labyrinth" using the gift certificates Ange gave me for Christmas. It was... not what I expected. And I didn't expect it to be in Spanish. Saturday Aaron went to Brewfest with some friends from work, so I just kinda vegged out at home, read a book, watched movies, puttered around the internet. Yesterday we went to a Super Bowl party at one of his friends' house, which was fun. There were only 8 people there, less than expected, I supposed the weather kept others at home. I made Scotch Squares (with some assistance), which turned out really really good and it's so hard to stop eating the leftover ones.
I actually got quite a bit done today, thanks to the snow day. I did as much Reading Academy work as I could do without my ELA manual or students upon which to administer the ORF. I also FINALLY put my photos into albums, and wrote the last essay for my LIT program application. I spent the rest of the day reading Blue Dahlia by Nora Roberts, first in the "In the Garden" trilogy. So the only things I didn't do today that I'd hoped were working on Italian and working on my book. If I have a snow day tomorrow, that'll be my plan.
I also got presents for myself in the mail on Friday, the Skechers I ordered and all my pants from VS. I'm keeping only one pair of Skechers, they're the biker style slip-ons (they're very light and very comfortable, I think they'll work well in Rome). And I'm sending a few pairs of pants back, I didn't like how they fit. But yay for shoes and VS!
