Super suprise(s)!

Aaron came home a day early from PA. When I talked to him Saturday morning, the plan originally was to drive home yesterday afternoon, getting back into Oswego around 7 or 8 at night. Well, apparently he got antsy and came home Saturday night instead. I didn't know this, of course, so I'm sitting there in church and about five minutes before Mass started, he comes up beside the pew and goes, "Is this seat taken?" So that was a super fun surprise! We got to spend the whole day together instead of just a couple hours at night. We went on an "adventure" out to the bluffs in Sterling, Aaron brought his camera and we took lots of pictures. It was a nice hike, and the weather and lake were beautiful. I can't wait to see how the pictures turned out.

Last week Mom and I had gone to DuFore's to look at some stuff, and we entered to win the Pandora starter bracelet (new thing, like the Italian charm bracelets were the big thing a couple years ago). I won one, but I'm not sure I like it because the clasp is really difficult to undo, and impossible to undo when it's actually on. But, eh, whatever, it's free and I never win stuff.

First day back from break was actually pretty good, my students were rather well behaved. I had two kids absent, however, so that probably contributed. It's goign to be a crazy week. Tomorrow morning I have a new teacher meeting at 8, then there's a mentoring meeting at 3:30, which means I have to send my kids to another room. Wednesday after school is the first Reading Academy meeting, and then the PPC dinner at the Pressbox, which will be fun, I'm looking forward to that.

Christmas shopping this weekend was highly successful. I'm almost completely done, I just have to get together with Christina to go shopping for Mom and we need to decide on something for Brian. Other than that, I'm all finished, I just need to wrap once we get the tree up. We're not decorating outside this year, which is a little sad but as long as the indoors is festive I'll be happy. I think I might buy a kissing ball from that lady that makes the awesome wreaths, my mistletoe has seen better days.

Dad is coming over in a little while to say goodbye. Not sure how things are gonna play out with me after that, part of me wants to just curl up in a corner and cry my eyes out to vent all the frustration and anger I've been feeling for the past six months. The other part knows I have to be strong and to not worry too much, because where he's going is about the "safest" place a person can be in Iraq. Regardless of how I feel later, I'm not goign to Carmina Burana rehearsal. I talked to Dr. Pretzat about it a couple weeks ago and she said not to worry about it.

Even if I am okay, timewise and feeling-wise, I still have to do the Reading Academy stuff for Wednesday, we just got our passwords today and there's three or four things that are supposed to be done before Wednesday's meeting.

dating, christmas, shopping, family, work
