Thank you! Again, I'm so happy you enjoyed it, and very grateful for the extensive and detailed feedback! *twirls*

I really love how you compare Mytho's transformation to Rue's, and how Rue's will take much more time to overcome. (I've definitely read fics where Mytho is not fully cured and the Raven's blood surfaces to torment them some more, but I far prefer the happier version.)Thanks! I did try to imply that Mytho isn't totally unscathed by his experience, and that the Raven's blood is still inside him and has changed him (though the changes - like a little selfishness, and being able to love one person more than everyone else - aren't all bad, though they might come with a price), but that out of the two of them, it's Rue who's scars are going to take longer to heal. And I do genuinely believe that. Rue has so much insecurity, loss of identity, and a terrible past to deal with as well as wow the way the Raven's blood might magnify those torments, and she's only human ( ... )

**nodnod.** Yeah, I like how you showed that Mytho didn't come away completely unscathed from the Raven's blood, even though his physical transformation was instantaneous. It's good for him to get a taste of those other emotions sometimes and have them still present within him ( ... )

I have come to feel a great deal better about Rue in some of my recent episode rewatches. There are some interesting subtleties in how she's portrayed that I hadn't stopped to notice before, such as how, once she knows Mytho wants to regain his heart, the next thing she tries is having that wedding thinking that will bind him to her and she won't have to worry even if his heart gets fully restored. Then some of her other actions frustrate me again, but I always try to keep her horrifying past in mind. It's amazing she managed to emerge as strong as she did.

Yeah, it's definitely easier to appreciate Rue on the rewatch! And it's very odd how often the wedding episode is overlooked (maybe because Duck and Fakir absorb all attention in that particular ep, so Kraehe's threat seems almost incidental). But you're right that her actions were very telling.

You're right, I really do love that about Rue also, that she fully accepted the blame for what she did. I try to bring that element to the characters when they make some terrible mistakes ( ... )

I like the mention of how time flows in a Story, too---so uncertain and so easily changed. It's always rather weirded me out that they're inside a Story. I would prefer that they end up living in the real world. (Then they could see Fakir and Ahiru again, too.) But I guess part of the whole magic of the show's ending is how Rue was able to transcend reality and have her dream, even if that meant no longer living in the real world.Thank you! I originally wrote much more about their lives in the story (and how exactly it works), but unfortunately, it really disrupted the flow of the story, so I had to cut it. Hopefully, I'll be able to incorporate it into another post-series fic later though! I'd really love to explore more of what it means to live in a story - most post-series fic-writers seem to portray it as a typical fairytale kingdom bound by realism (as realistic as a fairy castle can be, anyway) that they can leave at any time to visit Duck and Fakir, but I've always wished to write something different. I'd love to write ( ... )

That really would be interesting to read! I hope you can find a story to put it in. (But I'm sure you will! ^^)

That's how I imagined it would be, too, and the follow-up script Ikuko Itoh wrote seems to present that idea. I admittedly decided to take a different route and have the entire kingdom eventually assimilated into the real world, but that was mainly so I could do some of the things I wanted, not because I thought it was a concept that canon really supported. But then again, the world of Princess Tutu is a world where the impossible can become possible, so who knows. LOL.

That is a really interesting idea, that the Raven's blood, being from within the original Story, might have played a part in Rue being allowed to go into the Story with Mytho! I never thought of that.

I'm glad you write such amazing stories so that there is a lot to comment on! ^__^

I hope so too! ^_^ Unfortunately, my next story is definitely not going to be the place for it, but hopefully in a future story I'll be able to include it!

LOL.The really great thing about Princess Tutu is that its ending is totally up to interpretation, and the sky's the limit! It's all up to our individual imaginations. There are endless possibilities, and the one you chose to write is a very interesting one (and one I've never seen before)! The canon is so ( ... )
