I hope so too! ^_^ Unfortunately, my next story is definitely not going to be the place for it, but hopefully in a future story I'll be able to include it!
That's how I imagined it would be, too, and the follow-up script Ikuko Itoh wrote seems to present that idea. I admittedly decided to take a different route and have the entire kingdom eventually assimilated into the real world, but that was mainly so I could do some of the things I wanted, not because I thought it was a concept that canon really supported. But then again, the world of Princess Tutu is a world where the impossible can become possible, so who knows. LOL.
The really great thing about Princess Tutu is that its ending is totally up to interpretation, and the sky's the limit! It's all up to our individual imaginations. There are endless possibilities, and the one you chose to write is a very interesting one (and one I've never seen before)! The canon is so open, and so fun to play with. :)
