Gabriel Fills in the Missing Years on SPN! (My 13x20 Thoughts)

Alright so here is a jotted recap of the episode with my initial thoughts included throughout and after the episode. I do it this way because my memory sucks when it comes to recalling things that don't revolve around my OTP for the series.
SEASON 13

- Fenrir gets a scratch on Gabriel's hand...it bleeds

- Dean is on the phone
- Sam slowly unpacks their things

- Dean reminds Sam that Rowena's spell pointed Gabriel's location out to that motel
- Sam brings up Texas as a possibility
- Dean reports that Castiel is checking out Texas
- Sam knows that searching for Gabriel will take time
- Dean grows impatient (it's been two weeks with no progress)
- "Look, I know you know that we've been following leads for the past two weeks.
- We have nothing to show for it. Meanwhile, Mom, Jack, they could be hurt. Or worse.
- And we're stuck here in this stupid motel room…doing..." -Dean
- Dean kicks the bed only for it to start vibrating (magic fingers setup) and it kicks it again to stop it
- Dean calls that bed a bonus find
- There is a knock at the door
- Sam and Dean pull out their guns
- Sam opens the door
- Gabriel (bleeding badly) greets the brothers
- "Hey fellas, looking for me?" -Gabriel

- Jack updates Mary
- Rebels have won the third battle in a row
- Jacob reports that the angels are leaving
- "Why would they leave?" -Jack

- Sam patches Gabriel up
- Gabriel comments on sensing Rowena's tracking spell on him

- "What gave you that idea?" -Gabriel
- Gabriel asks about his grace
- He used it all up to kill Asmodeus and escape them
- Gabriel's grace will recharge eventually
- Gabriel tries to get up but the pain is too much

- Gabriel's blood is found

- Jack uses his powers to check Michael's base (it's empty inside)

- Kevin tries to defend his actions as a Prophet
- "I never used to believe in anything...except science." -Kevin
- "God chose me, what does that even mean?!" -Kevin
- Michael locked Kevin away when he couldn't fix the spell
- Kevin rambles about his isolation and perfecting the spell
- Mary wonders what Michael is planning
- Kevin reveals that Michael plans to open a rift where the veil betweens worlds is thin
- Jack realizes that Michael wants to invade their world
- "He'll invade our world." -Jack

- Gabriel complains about his imprisonment
- Sam and Dean demand answers since they just disposed of the body that Gabriel killed
- Gabriel tells the story of his time after faking his death (hiding out in Monte Carlo)
- "I thought this party had pornstars?" -Dean
- "Sorry, good catch." -Gabriel
- Sam wants Gabriel to skip to the end (despite Dean and Gabriel's disappointment)
- Gabriel was taken in his sleep and sold to Asmodeus
- "Fenrir, Sleipnir, and Narfi were just trying to cover their keisters. They needed to
- get rid of me before Lucifer figured out where they had me hidden. But selling me
- to that Kentucky Fried B-hole? For them? That was all profit." -Gabriel
- "So you want revenge?" -Dean

- Sam realizes Gabriel's old school plan (killing with wood instead of with his archangel powers)
- "Don't let anyone tell you that you're just a pretty face." -Gabriel
- Gabriel plans to leave Loki's death for last
- Loki (their father) has the same face as Gabriel

- "It's trippy, I know. Look, remember when I told you I went into witness protection?
- Well, who do you think put me there?" -Gabriel

- Years ago, Gabriel saved Loki and as a returned favor Loki helped Gabriel hide from Heaven
- Loki helped Gabriel impersonate him (as his 'witness protection')
- Dean argues with Gabriel about his priorities and his tendencies to run away from his problems
- Gabriel justifies his current motivations
- "Every day Asmodeus tortured me, every day, he fed off my grace for years! He used me, he debased
- me until I was…what I went through…you don't forgive. Everyone who had a hand in it will die.
- Get me?" -Gabriel
- Sam understands
- Dean reminds Gabriel that revenge never works out (killing Loki won't change things)
- Gabriel doesn't care
- Dean takes Sam aside to talk
- "This whole revenge kick...it's a waste of time." -Dean
- "What if it's not?" -Sam
- "You've seen it, Sam-- with me, with Dad. Revenge only ends one way-- ugly." -Dean
- "Well, maybe it doesn't have to." -Sam
- Sam tries to reason with Dean about hleping Gabriel out
- "This is about Gabriel. He needs our help." -Sam
- Sam gives Gabriel his offer
- "You agree to help us, we'll agree to help you." -Sam
- Gabriel looks to Dean
- Dean shrugs

- Jack tells Mary that he's going after Michael
- Mary tries to reason with Jack
- "I was just like you...in hunting. But I learned the hard way-- thinking you can win all the time,
- running in blind into every fight? That's how you make mistakes. And the people here, they..." -Mary
- "I'm doing it for them." -Jack
- "You can't help them if you're dead! I can't lose another boy." -Mary
- "You won't. I'll come back for all of you. I promise." -Jack
- Kevin intervenes
- Kevin ripped his shirt to reveal a sigil on his chest
- Kevin was ordered to wait for Bobby
- Mary tries to reason with Kevin
- Kevin wants to get to Heaven to see his mom again
- Jack knows that Kevin's spell won't kill him
- Kevin admits that Michael wants to break Jack not kill him
- "Michael doesn't want to kill you. He wants to break you." -Kevin
- Kevin apologizes before he activates his spell
- Jack grabs a hold of Mary and his wings encase them together
- Other Rebels are exposed to the spell's blinding light

- Last Demigod Son (Sleipnir) returns with his bodyguards
- Gabriel, Sam and Dean arrive and watch the elevator reach the third floor
- They enter the elevator

- Sleipnir orders for an attack

- Sam realizes that Dean left to go after Loki

- Dean learns the depths of the trickster feud
- Loki's father (Odin) was killed by Lucifer (5x19)
- Loki admitted the terms of his agreement with Gabriel
- Gabriel was to learn the ways of Loki in exchange for abandoning his archangel duties forever
- Dean attacks Loki
- Loki is just a hologram
- Gabriel comes across the real Loki in the hallway
- Dean gets into a fight with Hologram Loki
- "So you could hit me but I can't hit you?" -Dean
- "You mess with the real trickster, you get the real tricks." -Loki
- Sam intervenes and shoots the hologram away
- Gabriel wants to face Loki the old fashion way

- Dean gets in the Impala
- Sam wonders how Gabriel is feeling
- Gabriel claims that he's fine (a swell guy)
- Sam thought so
- Sam gets in the Impala
- Gabriel's facade cracks a little before joining them
Apocalypse World
- Jack mourns for the dead
- Mary tells Jack that they need to be prepared
- "If I can't keep them safe then what's the point?" -Jack
- Mary comforts Jack
Bunker
- Dean pours himself a drink
- Sam returns with news about Castiel helping Gabriel settle in
- Rowena is working on the Demon Tablet
- Sam wonders why Dean went after Loki by himself
- Dean wanted to multi-task
- Sam calls Dean out for doing things solo lately
- "Sam, I'm not gonna apologize for trying to protect you." -Dean
- Dean brings up the last time that they faced Michael/Lucifer
- Dean remembers seeing Sam die
- Dean doesn't care for himself but he does care about Sam
- "I do care about what happens to my brother." -Dean
- Sam tells Dean that they will save Mary and Jack together
- "And if we die, then we'll do that together too." -Sam
- Sam walks away
