Alright so here is a jotted recap of the episode with my initial thoughts included throughout and after the episode. I do it this way because my memory sucks when it comes to recalling things that don't revolve around my OTP for the series.

- Bonnie walks in and needs a drink

- Valerie tells Stefan that she gave Caroline her magic to stop the dessicate but it seems like it wasn't enough

- "I knew she was sick but I left anyway." -Stefan
- Valerie defends that Damon needed him
- "Your brother needed you." -Valerie
- Stefan doesn't know how to tell Caroline about Elena's body being burned
Lockwood Mansion
- Bonnie teases Damon about Krystal (woman from the fight club)
- Damon knows he cheated on Elena
- Bonnie reminds Damon that Elena gave him instructions to live his life

- Damon gets a call from Enzo
- Enzo tried to call Bonnie
- Bonnie doesn't want to talk to Enzo

- "Tell him I don't deal with shady old-lady corpse stealers." -Bonnie

- Damon learns that Enzo wants Rayna's sword

- Alaric is still in Dallas (he's heading for the airport)
- Stefan and Valerie tell Alaric that the C-Section needs to happen
- Doctors start the C-Section
- Magic stops them
- Stefan & Valerie rush inside
- Valerie sees the monitors stablize
- Valerie realizes that the twins don't want to leave Caroline since she's their power souce
- "I don't think they want to be born." -Valerie
COMMERICAL
Woods (Saint Malo, 1857)
- Rayna finds Julian on the verge of killing her father
- Rayna intervenes
- "Let my father go!" -Rayna
- Rayna reveals that her father is a Hunter from the Brotherhood
- Julian learns about the Hunter's Curse
- Julian can't kill the man...but Rayna can
- Rayna shouts a refusal
- Julian rushes to compel Rayna to kill her father
- Rayna unwillingly heads towards her father
- "It's not your fault." -Rayna's Father
- Rayna raises the blade
- "I can't stop." -Rayna
- Rayna's Father tells Rayna to remember what he taught her

- Enzo is seated in the dark and says nothing
- Lights switch on and reveal that Enzo is tied up
- Rayna appears with a crossbow with wooden arrows aimed at Damon

- "Thank you." -Rayna

- Damon is pissed at Enzo for leading him into a trap
- Damon brings up a Thanksgiving they spent in cells together
- "I take that back." -Damon
- "Like I had a choice." -Enzo
- Bonnie wonders who the woman is
- "Damn it Bonnie. Meet Rayna Cruz." -Enzo
- Damon is stunned
- Bonnie is disbelieving
- Rayna wants her sword
- Damon stalls
- Rayna shoots a wooden stake into Bonnie's stomach
- Damon throws the Phoenix Sword out the window
- Rayna rushes to go retrieve it
- Damon tends to Bonnie
Flashback (Woods)
- Rayna partakes in a ritual that ensures she gets justice
- Protection Tea is drank by Rayna
- The circle sacrifices themselves so Rayna can have the protection
- "I didn't ask for anyone to die." -Rayna
- Shaman explains that they live through her
- "They live on within you." -Shaman
- Shaman completes the ritual, linking Rayna's soul to the sword
- "Avenge your father. Avenge us all." -Shaman
- Shaman kills himself
- So destroy the sword and you destroy Rayna?

- Julian is with Nora, Mary Louise and a singing Beau
- Beau is stabbed in the back...by Rayna
- Julain attacks Rayna
- Mary Louise & Nora rush to Beau
- Beau isn't healing
- Julian tells the women to take Beau and go to the harbor with Lily to board a ship to the USA
- Julian rushes them away from Rayna
- Rayna wakes up
Whitmore Campus
- Rayna grabs her sword in the middle of campus
Whitmore Hospital
- Four Heretics chant around Caroline
- Stefan is on the phone with Alaric
- Alaric fears for his twins being near the Heretics
- Doctors begin the C-Section
- No magic interference from the twins
- Stefan thinks it's working
- Beau's scar starts to bleed
- Heretics stop chanting and rush to help him
Whitmore Classroom
- Damon feeds his blood to Bonnie
- Bonnie appreciates that Damon didn't hesitate
- Enzo interrupts
- "We all good?" -Enzo
- Damon and Bonnie call Enzo a traitor and don't want to help him
- Enzo defends that he didn't have a choice
- Bonnie gets a call from Nora
- Nora knows that Rayna has the sword because of Beau's scar
- Rayna won't stop until she has Beau back in the stone and then she'll go after any other vampire in her path
- Bonnie learns that Nora is helping Caroline give birth at the hospital
- Stefan listens to the fact they are all in danger

- Caroline's vitals go crazy
- Heretics rush to stop Beau's bleeding
- Mary Louise wants to get Beau far away
- "We have to protect each other." -Mary Louise

- Mary Louise understands that Stefan is worried for Caroline but she needs to leave with Beau
- Valerie offers to stay to help Caroline
- Nora worries for Valerie
- "You can't stay here. Come with us." -Nora

- Valerie tells Beau to always keep running before he leaves with the others

- Stefan gets a call from Damon
- Damon warns Stefan about Rayna
- Stefan wants Damon to stay away before he ruins it for them all
- Bonnie doesn't get why Stefan is mad at Damon

- Beau, Nora & Mary Louise make a run for it
Flashback (1903)
- Julian tries to run with Nora and Beau
- Rayna arrives
- Julian attacks Rayna and stabs her
- Julian flees to the cart
- Rayna throws her sword and it impales Julian in the heart
- Phoenix Sword sucks in Julian's soul
- Nora gets the cart going
- So that's how Rayna loses the sword and how Julian gets himself stuck in the Phoenix Stone
Whitmore Hospital
- Beau starts to run but he's met with Rayna's sword into his chest
- Beau's soul goes into the Phoenix Stone
- Mary Louise and Nora run
- Rayna starts a fire around Beau
- Rayna storms inside
COMMERICAL
Whitmore Hospital
- Valerie chants over Caroline
- Stefan moves to Caroline's side and takes her hand
- Stefan goes into Caroline's mind
- Stefan gives Caroline a blanket to wrap around as they sit under the stars by a greenhouse
- "Are you in my head right now?" -Caroline
- Stefan continues their date
- Caroline realizes that Stefan is trying to take her mind off of things

- Damon and Bonnie arrive to find Beau's burnt body (he's officially dead)
- "She's here." -Bonnie

- Rayna goes searching the empty halls of the hospital
- Damon intervenes
- Bonnie rushes to Caroline's side in the operating room
- Stefan announces that the twins are about to be born
- Bonnie announces that Beau didn't make it and that Rayna is there
- "Beau didn't get away." -Bonnie
- Valerie is horrified
- Damon comments on Rayna looking like Elena and her doppelgangers
- Damon attacks Rayna
- Stefan wonders about Damon
- Bonnie doesn't think Damon can hold Rayna off on his own...he needs Stefan since Bonnie's magic does nothing to Rayna
- Stefan doesn't care
- "He's so determined to make things right he's gonna get himself killed." -Bonnie
- Damon continues to fight Rayna
- Alaric barges in and wonders what the hell is going on
- Bonnie tells Stefan to help Damon...that Alaric can take care of Caroline

- Rayna gets the upper hand against Damon
- Rayna grabs her sword
- Damon isn't afraid of the Phoenix Stone
- "You want to send me back to Hell?" -Damon
- Rayna hesitates for a moment
- Stefan intervenes and he gets marked by her sword
- Stefan kicks Rayna away
- Stefan gets sucked into his memories of Caroline
- Damon looks horrified at Stefan
- "I'll see you brother." -Stefan
- Stefan runs
- I guess that's how Stefan got his mark from the 7x01 flashforward...
- How is getting marked different from getting sucked into the stone?

- Valerie & Bonnie chant together
- Doctors pull Twin #1 from Caroline
- Alaric is stunned
- Twin #2 is then taken from Caroline
- Alaric smiles
- Twins are wrapped up
- Alaric holds his first daughter
- "Is she okay?" -Bonnie
- "She's okay. They're both okay." -Alaric
- Bonnie & Valerie are relieved
- That was some quick baby cleaning going on there!
Whitmore Classroom
- Damon goes back for Enzo
- Damon doesn't want to release Enzo...he wants to kill him
- Enzo didn't want to give Rayna the sword
- Damon brings up how complicated his day became complicated
- Damon uses a coin to decide Enzo's fate
- Enzo reveals that Elena is alive that Damon hallucinated burning her
- A decoy coffin was used
- "So now you and Tyler are a dynamic duo?" -Damon
- Enzo reveals that Elena is in New York with his friends (mutual with Tyler's)
- Damon is relieved
- I would want proof since Enzo has lied a few times
Whitmore Hospital
- Caroline wakes up to Bonnie taking care of her
- Caroline asks about the twins
- Alaric is with the twins at the nursery getting checked out
- Caroline asks about Stefan
- Bonnie tells Caroline what happened with Rayna

- Stefan quickly drives away
- Stefan gets a call from Damon
- Stefan is furious with Damon
- "Why'd you hand over that sword Damon?" -Stefan
- "Elena's alive." -Damon
- Damon quickly explains that Elena is alive and he'll do everything he can to stop Rayna
- "I didn't kill her Stefan. Elena's alive." -Damon
- Damon promises he'll find a way to stop Rayna

- Stefan gets a call from Caroline
- Caroline sobs over the fact that Stefan has to leave her again
- "I love you" is said between them

- Caroline wipes her tears away from her call with Stefan
- Alaric arrives with the twins
- Caroline holds the twins and she learns of their names
- "This is Josie...in honor of their mother." -Alaric
- "And this one...this is Elizabeth...in honor of their mother." -Alaric

- Caroline is in the car with the twins
- Caroline finishes a call with Alaric
- Caroline is driving to New Orleans to see an old friend
- "Where are we going?" -Twin
- "To New Orleans...to visit mommy's friend." -Caroline

- Enzo interrupts
- "We all good?" -Enzo
- Damon and Bonnie call Enzo a traitor and don't want to help him
- Enzo defends that he didn't have a choice
- Bonnie gets a call from Nora
- Nora knows that Rayna has the sword because of Beau's scar
- Rayna won't stop until she has Beau back in the stone and then she'll go after any other vampire in her path
- Bonnie learns that Nora is helping Caroline give birth at the hospital
- Stefan listens to the fact they are all in danger
COMMERICAL
Whitmore Hospital
- Caroline's vitals go crazy
- Heretics rush to stop Beau's bleeding
- Mary Louise wants to get Beau far away
- "We have to protect each other." -Mary Louise
- Stefan needs them to stay to help Caroline
- Mary Louise understands that Stefan is worried for Caroline but she needs to leave with Beau
- Valerie offers to stay to help Caroline
- Nora worries for Valerie
- "You can't stay here. Come with us." -Nora
- Valerie knows she has to try
- Valerie tells Beau to always keep running before he leaves with the others
- Valerie goes in to help Caroline
- Stefan gets a call from Damon
- Damon warns Stefan about Rayna
- Stefan wants Damon to stay away before he ruins it for them all
- Bonnie doesn't get why Stefan is mad at Damon
- "Damon, why is he so mad at you?" -Bonnie
- Damon admits to messing up but with no specifics
Outside Whitmore Hospital
- Beau, Nora & Mary Louise make a run for it
Flashback (1903)
- Julian tries to run with Nora and Beau
- Rayna arrives
- Julian attacks Rayna and stabs her
- Julian flees to the cart
- Rayna throws her sword and it impales Julian in the heart
- Phoenix Sword sucks in Julian's soul
- Nora gets the cart going
- So that's how Rayna loses the sword and how Julian gets himself stuck in the Phoenix Stone
Whitmore Hospital
- Beau starts to run but he's met with Rayna's sword into his chest
- Beau's soul goes into the Phoenix Stone
- Mary Louise and Nora run
- Rayna starts a fire around Beau
- Rayna storms inside
COMMERICAL
Whitmore Hospital
- Valerie chants over Caroline
- Stefan moves to Caroline's side and takes her hand
- Stefan goes into Caroline's mind
- Stefan gives Caroline a blanket to wrap around as they sit under the stars by a greenhouse
- "Are you in my head right now?" -Caroline
- Stefan continues their date
- Caroline realizes that Stefan is trying to take her mind off of things
- Stefan wants her to not worry
- "Thank you." -Caroline
- Caroline's vitals are crazy
Outside Whitmore Hospital
- Damon and Bonnie arrive to find Beau's burnt body (he's officially dead)
- "She's here." -Bonnie
Whitmore Hospital
- Rayna goes searching the empty halls of the hospital
- Damon intervenes
- Bonnie rushes to Caroline's side in the operating room
- Stefan announces that the twins are about to be born
- Bonnie announces that Beau didn't make it and that Rayna is there
- "Beau didn't get away." -Bonnie
- Valerie is horrified
- Damon comments on Rayna looking like Elena and her doppelgangers
- Damon attacks Rayna
- Stefan wonders about Damon
- Bonnie doesn't think Damon can hold Rayna off on his own...he needs Stefan since Bonnie's magic does nothing to Rayna
- Stefan doesn't care
- "He's so determined to make things right he's gonna get himself killed." -Bonnie
- Damon continues to fight Rayna
- Alaric barges in and wonders what the hell is going on
- Bonnie tells Stefan to help Damon...that Alaric can take care of Caroline
- "Stefan go. Ric can take it from here." -Bonnie
- Rayna gets the upper hand against Damon
- Rayna grabs her sword
- Damon isn't afraid of the Phoenix Stone
- "You want to send me back to Hell?" -Damon
- Rayna hesitates for a moment
- Stefan intervenes and he gets marked by her sword
- Stefan kicks Rayna away
- Stefan gets sucked into his memories of Caroline
- Damon looks horrified at Stefan
- "I'll see you brother." -Stefan
- Stefan runs
- I guess that's how Stefan got his mark from the 7x01 flashforward...
- How is getting marked different from getting sucked into the stone?
COMMERICAL
Whitmore Hospital
- Valerie & Bonnie chant together
- Doctors pull Twin #1 from Caroline
- Alaric is stunned
- Twin #2 is then taken from Caroline
- Alaric smiles
- Twins are wrapped up
- Alaric holds his first daughter
- "Is she okay?" -Bonnie
- "She's okay. They're both okay." -Alaric
- Bonnie & Valerie are relieved
- That was some quick baby cleaning going on there!
Whitmore Classroom
- Damon goes back for Enzo
- Damon doesn't want to release Enzo...he wants to kill him
- Enzo didn't want to give Rayna the sword
- Damon brings up how complicated his day became complicated
- Damon uses a coin to decide Enzo's fate
- Enzo reveals that Elena is alive that Damon hallucinated burning her
- A decoy coffin was used
- "So now you and Tyler are a dynamic duo?" -Damon
- Enzo reveals that Elena is in New York with his friends (mutual with Tyler's)
- Damon is relieved
- I would want proof since Enzo has lied a few times
Whitmore Hospital
- Caroline wakes up to Bonnie taking care of her
- Caroline asks about the twins
- Alaric is with the twins at the nursery getting checked out
- Caroline asks about Stefan
- Bonnie tells Caroline what happened with Rayna
Road
- Stefan quickly drives away
- Stefan gets a call from Damon
- Stefan is furious with Damon
- "Why'd you hand over that sword Damon?" -Stefan
- "Elena's alive." -Damon
- Damon quickly explains that Elena is alive and he'll do everything he can to stop Rayna
- "I didn't kill her Stefan. Elena's alive." -Damon
- Damon promises he'll find a way to stop Rayna
- "I will fix this." -Damon
- "I will bring you back here. I promise you." -Damon
- Stefan gets a call from Caroline
- Caroline sobs over the fact that Stefan has to leave her again
- "I love you" is said between them
Whitmore Hospital
- Caroline wipes her tears away from her call with Stefan
- Alaric arrives with the twins
- Caroline holds the twins and she learns of their names
- "This is Josie...in honor of their mother." -Alaric
- "And this one...this is Elizabeth...in honor of their mother." -Alaric
- Caroline is stunned
THREE YEARS FROM NOW
Road
- Caroline is in the car with the twins
- Caroline finishes a call with Alaric
- Caroline is driving to New Orleans to see an old friend
- "Where are we going?" -Twin
- "To New Orleans...to visit mommy's friend." -Caroline
- KLAUS?!?!?!?! Is he alive 3 years from now? Did he survive the prophecy?
