The Hunt for the Wooden Horse Begins on TO! (My 3x12 Thoughts)

Alright so here is a jotted recap of the episode with my initial thoughts included throughout and after the episode. I do it this way because my memory sucks when it comes to recalling things that don't revolve around my OTP for the series.

Synopsis: KLAUS FACES OFF WITH AN UNLIKELY FOE - When a powerful weapon that could take down the Mikaelsons for good ends up in the wrong hands, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) finds himself in a tense standoff with an unlikely foe. Meanwhile, Elijah’s (Daniel Gillies) attempt to reclaim control of The Strix leads to a violent showdown and the emergence of a potential new leader. Elsewhere, when a new coven of witches tries to influence Davina (Danielle Campbell) into helping them locate the elusive weapon, she quickly realizes she may be in over her head. Charles Michael Davis (Marcel), Phoebe Tonkin (Hayley) and Yusuf Gatewood (Vincent) also star.
I sense that things will end badly.

- Aya wants Davina and the other "Sisters" to use magic to evade Ariene's mind to find the weapon

- Marcel interrupts
- Marcel doesn't like that Aya took Davina and didn't tell him
- Aya will do anything to secure the safety of Elijah's sireline

- Camille wants her objects so she could have an advantage against Aurora
- Klaus doesn't want to give in because then Camille will grow arrogant and eventually get herself killed

- Klaus leaves the briefcase to Camille...he will get the artefacts if she stays in the boundary
WEBCLIP #1 -- Strix Household
- Aya arrives
- Elijah watches from afar
- Aya begins a meeting about a weapon being out there and Elijah knows about it
- "My witches have made a discovery. Whatever it was, Elijah clearly wants it to remain hidden.
- We can only assume a weapon is in play and all of our lives are at risk.
- We will not rest until that weapon is under our control." -Aya
- Elijah interrupts and talks about a new leadership regimen
- "Hello everyone. Wonderful to see you all. Aya!
- Don't we look so very comfortable indeed leading Tristan's little circus.
- Sadly, one does not ascend to the position of leader. Kind of has to be on my consent.
- You see, I am the maker, the creator. The founding father. I am the one who chooses the leader here.
- And fortunately for every last one of you, I have an excellent candidate in mind.
- See today is the day I take back what is mine. Do I here any objections?" -Elijah

- "Marcel, the grown ups are talking." -Elijah
- Elijah brings up the Strix Charter that he created as founder
- Aya brings up another part of the Charter
- "I challenge you to a duel." -Aya
Strix Household
- Davina performs a spell...she's at the compound
- Klaus packs away the artefacts for Camille
- Klaus pauses and looks behind him...he can't see Davina watching
- Hayley walks in and tells Klaus to keep it down
- Hope is already upset as it is
- "It pains me that Hope is upset." -Klaus
- Klaus and Hayley talk about Camille being out of her mind and that she has the weapon in the cemetery
- Davina pulls out of the spell
- A Sister witch (Madison) is waiting for her
- "Anything you care to share with the group?" -Madison
- I guess Freya didn't put a magical barrier around the compound to prevent moves like Davina's from happening...

- Marcel can't believe that a decision is made over a fight
- Elijah agrees but Aya wants a fight
- Elijah and Aya prepare to fight
- "Leadership must be earned." -Aya

- Camille is anxious to get the weapons
- Vincent comments on Camille poking an irritable Klaus
- Vincent doesn't think that things will be the same between Klaus and Camille
- Camille is willing to make that risk

Strix Household
- Madison wants Davina to reveal what she knows
- Davina denies such a claim
- Davina's vampire friends are brought up
- Davina brings up the 'new girl' treatment
- Madison brings up what being part of the Coven does to you (the reward is not worth the change that happens within you)
- "It will change you." -Madison
- Madison actually wants to leave the Coven
- "All I care about is leaving this damn Coven." -Madison
- Madison forces herself into Davina's head for the weapon

- Aya joins him and notices that Elijah isn't worried about Marcel running around
- Elijah has his sources on Marcel
- Aya has the Strix searching for Marcel
- Aya brings up how Elijah hesitated to kill her
- Elijah won't make the mistake again
- "I'll be certain to finish the task." -Elijah
- Elijah walks off
Cemetery
- Vincent notices that something isn't right with his spell
- Vincent leaves to investigate
- Klaus is confronted by the Madison
- Klaus is tossed around before he's killed with a snapped neck while airborne
- Camille and Vincent meet up
- Vincent feels another presence within the boundary spell
- Strix Coven surrounds them
- Vincent tells Camille to run with the weapon
- Camille runs into a crypt only to be confronted by the same witch that temporarily killed Klaus
- Madison uses magic to break a few of Camille's bones
- Camille uses a dark artefact
- Madison uses magic to escape with the weapon
- So predicatable...I knew Camille would lose the weapon...she should have burned it the moment she had the chance
COMMERICAL
Streets
- Elijah is on the phone with Marcel
- Elijah wants the Charter since its close to midnight
- Marcel wants to wait it out
- "Good luck trying to find me." -Marcel
- "Look outside." -Elijah
- Marcel notices the Strix are closing in too

- Aya waits on the street with the rest of the Strix

- Vincent tries to use magic to find the weapon
- Klaus and Camille argue over Camille losing the weapon
- "And I said I'm sorry." -Camille
- "Your apologies won't bring back what's lost." -Klaus

- The clock is done (it's after midnight)
- Elijah and Aya don't have the charter
- Marcel is the new leader of the Strix
- Marcel read the Charter and defended how he qualifies
- Elijah attacks Marcel
- Marcel argues that if Elijah kills him then it proves that Elijah can't follow his own rules
- "I'm not the strongest one here but I won the game." -Marcel
- Marcel explains why he's a leader
- "This is my city because I took it!" -Marcel
- Elijah doesn't like it

- Klaus and Camille argue over what happened
- "If you just listened to me, we wouldn't be here right now." -Camille
- Camille's phone starts to ring during her rant
- Klaus can't take the ringing
- "Answer your bloody phone, will you!" -Klaus
- Davina called Camille to warn her about the Strix
- Camille comments on the late timing
- Davina reveals that Madison isn't who they thought she was
- "She's not working for the Strix." -Davina
Alleyway
- Madison gives the weapon to Aurora
- Madison wants to be freed from the Strix as her reward
- Aurora kills Madison

Marcel's Apartment
- Marcel pulls a drink for him and Elijah
- "You had to punch your hand through my chest?" -Marcel
- Elijah and Marcel were working together and now they have the Strix under their control
Strix Household
- Davina cares for Ariene's body
- Ariene's spirit appears to Davina and thanks her
- Ariene tells Davina that things aren't looking good for Kol
- The Strix Coven can be used to save Kol
Camille's Apartment
- Klaus reprimands Camille for her actions
- Camille is sorry but she won't live in fear ever again
- Klaus isn't pleased as he storms out
- "You could have trusted me." -Klaus
Algier's Warehouse
- Marcel and Aya have a drink
- Aya wonders if Marcel is suitable to be the leader
- Marcel states why he is
- Aya reveals that the Strix Coven is the key to getting the link to the sirelines destroyed
- Marcel is stunned yet intrigued
- "Will you lead the Strix to freedom?" -Aya
Compound
- Klaus wonders if Freya located Madison and the weapon
- Elijah reports no news
- Klaus and Elijah talka about Aurora's presence changing the game again
- Elijah wonders who Aurora would go after
- "You broke her heart. I broke her mind." -Elijah
Cabin
- Aurora has the weapon forged into special wooden bullets
- Aurora plans to kill a whole family of monsters
- It's like the Colt from Supernatural with the special limited amount of bullets
