I've been working on this universe for some time, and now I'm ready to meme it!

I am aware that "cyberpunk" isn't necessarily the right word for this universe, so I am open to other suggestions!

Fortunately Smellerbee has the presence of mind to stick her foot out.

Longshot goes sprawling at Sokka's feet -- the Water Tribesman had quickly shifted so that he was in front of Aang and Katara -- and Smellerbee sits on him before he can attack again.

"I was just asking," Aang protests, confused, and Jet glares at him.

"Longshot didn't have a choice in the matter," he informs the younger boy.

The horror on Aang's face says it all.

...y'know, that's twice I posted a prompt that I thought would be good for a funny ficlet and got a serious one. I'm not sure what to make of this.

Mmm. You might have considered this part of the background information: to have no modifications is to be a mongrel; to have too many is to be subhuman.

I see what you did there with her name. Also, I love what you're doing here. The way you used "cage of glass" and the way that you deal with Yue's isolation and her effort to help any way she can. Lovely job.

I wish more people had asked for Teo so we could find out what his mods are. >_>

If I'm reading that right, then maybe the reason that Teo is a paraplegic in this 'verse is that he *wasn't* modified pre-natally...
