Apologies for lapsing back into my horrid non-updating habits, but things have been (as always) hectic. I've been tied up with a veritable avalanche of exam marking (as repetitive as it is time consuming and lucrative), followed by Research Fest this week. Research Fest is a week-long conference type thing run by our Research Students Development Centre, filled with useful talks and free food. I'm a volunteer, helping with setup, and doing lots of photography for it. Though rewarding, it is absolutely hogging my week.
My PhD stuff is going well (well, as well as can be expected with glacial recruitment). I'm keeping a number of things on the boil, though still have that niggling feeling that I've not done enough yet...
Oh, yes, I'm going to a methodology conference in Sydney next month, it'll be my first time travelling completely solo! So I'm both excited and apprehensive (especially as my super cheap accomodation is right next to a somewhat dodgey neighbourhood... Oh well :P)
I had better get back to planning what conference sessions I want to go to, and gently journal-stalking the main speakers so I won't be ignorent when I first meet 'em.
