So... Pollination? - Volume 1 - A DiFT Legacy
In a sim city... not so long ago.
My sweet founder is asleep... unware of what is to become of his life. Because after a bredding experiment that led to his birth the POWERS THAT BE are not satisfied yet. He has been given a mission, and long after his death many generations most follow the guide lines given by THEM. Whoever THEM are.
My name is Tau Rising, my skin probably gives me away I am not from this world. I know nothing of it; some unknow force have bring me to this place, to this house to learn and record. I don't know what they'll do with that information, and quite frankly I don't care I been promised to be left alone as long as simply record this journal of my life here, and that at least one of my offspring does the same, and so on.
As I hardly have any understanding of this place and barely given a plot of land and few simolons to survive with a decided to learn the way of the farmer, this earth will provide for me as I learn the ways of this world.
I read every book I can find. But no amount of reading will give the understament I seek.
I explore this land around me, and discover like child...
The words in books are the only company i get...
Well that and of course my darling plants is amazing how fertile this land is... how easy it can be, if just put patience and care to them.
Trial and error... is the only way to truly learn. Discovery is at every turn,
The diversity amazes me everyday...
And the hard work paids off... I've learn of comerce and my plants provide for me as a provide for them.
Things are not always easy of course, there were many thing I wasn't ready for.
Drio Embassy came a couple of times to visit me to check up on me, she is my grandmother. Well kind of as I was just a genetic experiment and she was simply one of the doners there is no sentimental bond between us, but still is nice to have company sometimes.
I sell the produce of my small farm all around town, this has given me the oportunity to learn about their cultural and social behevior.
As I am still learning what's aproppied and what's not; I spend a lot of time on my own.
Well, at leat it was like that... until the move next door. And I meet her.
Rue Cygnus ( ageiha) (As I played this over a month ago I could not remember from whom i downloaded Rue, I just love google wrote her name and got ageiha download page at the first try)
I was completly drawn to her, I can not find the words to explain it.
Perhaps the easiest way is to used a frase that appear in several books i read, it was love at first sight.
Yes, love.. that's the word for my feelings.
Being around her, is like I'm floating we have so much in common, and so different.
It's like I am better with her. Even if THEY created me for some reason, I feel like the reason is to be with her. And make happy.
I felt blessed to have found such a wonderful company in a world that I didn't truly belong, but it's the only world I know.
And Rue's presence just makes completly and entirely extraordanary.
We got engaged as the social protocol demanded.
And following social prococol I trew I bachelor party not really understanding what it was, and call the only ones that I knew.. As they were as lost I was the just celebrate with me. They are my only family, my only bond to that world I never knew.
A world I wasn't interest in knowing either but I liked having that conecction of understanding with them. They were in the same situation I was. My "father" Kappa in his oddly stripe suit, and my "grandfather" Epsilon.
I have to admit celebrating is fun.
Ever since Rue enter my life everything seems brigther, my plants grow healthier. The world is nicer.
We had a quiet ceremony on my garden.
And soon nature follow its course.
Life was well life. I was experiencing hundreds of new things discovery lurk at every corner.
And a bigger challnge presented it self one night. No book will prepared you for parenthood. Alien or not.
It can be overwelming. Specially if you have twins.
Gladia and Noys, were my girls and while they requiered so much care my garden was left neglected sometimes.
But I know my plants will understand... I have something new and more important to nurture.
They grow so quicly even without the accelerated grow that is used were I come from.
My partnership with Rue remainded me that is ok to be scared sometimes. As long as you kept going despite your fears.
And that is also ok to call for help.
Even more so when you bring another baby home, Bayta another girl.
As Noys and Gladia kept on growing.
The girls adjust to this world better than I ver could, it's easier for them I guess as they've been raised here
Gladia loves being around nature, she goes fishing early almost every day and goes to very camp that the school organizes.
Rue is better at socializing than I am, she goes to parties every now and the to take a break from childcare.
Don't get me wrong she loves having a big a family taking care of our daugthers. She lives for it, but everyone needs some time off, even from the things and people they loved.
My girls are amazing, and I loved them. What else is there to report.
Noys wants to know more about were I come from, she seeks answers in the stars.
Bayta grows as quicly as her sisters before her, but I can sense there is something different about her.
Rue tells me that is normal that everyone is different even when they come from the exact same gene pool. Well that's not how it works when you are engineer but as nature as show me with plants she is much more diverse when thing are done naturely.
Sometimes my darling Noys messed with chemistry and gets herself in trouble. She tell me that science helps her understand nature.
Bayta is a happy child.
But perhaps her imagination has to much control over her.
I loved her deeply but she is quite a rebel, as she never listen and always seems to be in her private world.
I guess in some way we all are...
Another child was about to join our family, it'll be hard to support us all. But I'll manage, we'll manage we always do.
Even when life give us surprises.
Three boys! Kind you imagine three grown girls and now three baby boys.
Rue was pleased she always wanted a big family.
She was born to be a loving mother.
My boys.. are Elijah,
Hari... and Hardin.
After their birth life got a little bit more complicated to keep track of.
It wasn't until the twins hit their teen years that things started to settled.
Gladia is the atlhete of the family.
While Noys is our science expert.
We always have each other company, love and care.
