The black wings take him up into the sky.
Soaring, flying, tumbling.
Crossing white clouds. Avoiding to look directly into the sun.
What do you think?
His smile widens when she sends him an image.

The redhead turns around. A worried face staring back at the Tennis Buchou.
"Iie... He's not in his room. Not in the kitchen. Not with anyone else of the team... I can't find him. I actually thought he'd be with you..."
Without a word, Tezuka walks away again.
It's typically the Tensai to suddenly disappear, not saying anything to anyone. But ... It's dinner time already. And he's been gone since before breakfast ... He never stays away for so long.

Her voice is shrill when she cries out her warning.
The huge black body suddenly tenses beneath him. A sharp turn towards the left almost makes him lose his balance.
Carefull...
Skilled, because of years flying on her, he takes his bow of his back. The arrows in an easy reach behind him.
He can feel the gush of cold air when a flash of red flies above them, just barely not hiting them.
Eyes turned to slits, he releases the string, letting an arrow purchase his enemy. His enemy ... Familiar ...
I'm going for a dive. There's one just below us. Take out to one at our left side with your bow, okay?
He hears her voice, however it are just empty words.
It can't have been.... Not him. Not on the enemy's side.
He can feel his heart break into a million pieces. His dreams, his hopes. All crushed.
Fuji... Fuji! FUJI!!!

Blue eyes open wide. Head jerking up.
Confussion. Fear. Surprise. Hurt ... It's all to be seen in the crystal orbs.
And it worries Tezuka even more.
Carefully he sets himself down next to the Tensai. Noticing how he tenses just a little.
The pencil falls out of his hand. Papers lying forgotten on his lap.
They both remain silent, each aware of teh presence beside him.
'A dream. It was just a dream.'
Sighing softly Fuji closes his eyes again, letting his head rest against the tree.
"May I?"
The sudden question would have startled anyone. But not the Tensai.
Tezuka knows when it is time to stay silent and when it is permitted to ask.
Without a word, without even opening his eyes, Fuji hands over the papers. A small smile appearing on his face.
The Tennis Captain loves to read. Like he, the Tennis Geniuis, loves to write. It's strange how they seem to complete each other in so many ways. Perhaps it is true what Eiji proclaims. Perhaps they would indeed form a good Doubles pair.
"So, you were flying with them when I woke you up?"
No one might know it, but beneath his stoic appearance, Tezuka has a fine sense of humor. And even if Fuji himself might have forgotten it for a moment, the soft voice filled with mirth is enough to let a gentle laugh escape his lips. He's glad that he, and he alone, has gotten to know this side of Tezuka.
"You know I have a soft spot for Dragons, Mitsu..."
The tension is gone and immediately the Buchou's arm pulls him closer.
Silence falls again. Comfortable. Until a small rumble interupts their peace, and Tezuka is reminded again why he had come to search Fuji in the first place.
Smiling he helps his lover stand.
Together they walk back to the dorm where dinner awaits them.
A shadow falls over them and Fuji is sure he sees a black and red glow before his feet. However, when he looks up, there is nothing.
'A dream. Nothing more. My fantasy has taken a run with me. Mitsu would never betray me...'
Reaching out, his hand touches his boyfriend's arm, making him stop.
"I love you."
The gentle smile and the feeling of familiar soft lips on his own, is all the answer he needs.
Together they enter the house. But when the door is closed behind them, a roar echoes through the sky and a cruel voice is chuckling.
"It is no dream. It is a memory. The past will always repeat itself..."
