Sabres and broad swords and spears, oh my.

In Shaolin Kung Fu class yesterday we did some training with some kind of sparring stick. It's only a simple item: solid wood, about 2 foot long and as thick as a broom handle. Everyone had one except myself. They even had foam-covered equivalents that I borrowed. Since I'll be using these going forward, I thought I'd get myself one. Surely it can't be a difficult thing to find?

It seems so ordinary and cheap. Naturally, it's an item that no-one sells... anywhere in the world. I've looked in countless online martial arts supply shops, sparring equipment, training equipment, wooden weapons, foam weapons, kung fu weapons, and none of them have this stick that the rest of the class managed to obtain. The closest thing I can find to it, which continues to find it's way into my results, is something called an Escrima Stick. I don't know what it's for, but it's not what I'm looking for.

If anyone knows what stick I'm talking about and knows where to get one, please let me know.
