I wasn't gonna do it just yet but...

Walmart is not a bad place to work because of all the bullshit the media is snatching up. The pay at least in this area is fine, walmart hires uneducated people, people who for some sort of personal reasons can not work at a different job, whatever, the point is if you work for walmart and are bitching about it, go find a better job. If you are some politician bitching about this, find us better jobs, why not hire us to work for your campaign with better pay and benefits. I do have a problem with the open/flexible scheduling, that's kinda bullshit and it's only going to hurt walmart...but that's a deterent to working there, so if it's so bad to work at walmart then I guess it's in reality a good thing.

How quickly our politicians forget that while they were falling all over themselves dropping the ball after Katrina, Walmart had already donated over a million dollars in aid, sent people to help, etc. But no one wants to talk about that, and to walmarts credit they don't seem to be tooting that horn, at least not yet.

Ok now that this sounds like a shining endorsment to walmart, what is going on in store 2398? I mean it's as if they want to just shut the store down and want to cut the staff before they do. When Ryan took over I thought it might not be so bad. After all we survived Jeff...and I stand by the fact that my cats would have done a better job at running that store. Ryan just seems to be failing at everything, first Eric, what an amazing manager, I can't get over what a loss that was. Then Dennis, come on those are huge shoes to fill, he could have fun and get stuff done, come on ya'll remember his lists haha. Ray, damn he was useless fucking hated when he closed when I was a CSM because it was hurry hurry, screw what the store looks like...I mean where's the pride in the store? I don't get it, then there's the lets fire Shane...good call, I mean he only pushed carts, rang a register, did carry outs, you know I mean he really wasn't a bit of an asset. Who will replace me and craig and brandon, anyone of us can work in almost any department and actually do a good job, we know sooo much about that place.

Ryan is a bitch, she says things that are out of line, she is phoney, and I'm not sure how I'd handle being in her situation, but I can tell you right now that I would not have left early today, losing two assistants in less then 24 hours, knowing how low the morale is, I would have a store meeting, and I would start calling people to hire. If homeoffice didn't like it well that's too bad. Alan didn't do everything home office told him to, he was the kind of person who saw what needed doing and he did it, not by sticking to policy 100% of the time, but by being out talking to all of us, being firm but fair, and knowing that what makes a store tick is good employee morale and getting the customers out of that store as quickly and happily as possible. When i was a cashier no one bitched when it was slow and I talked to my friends, and when it was busy we were all mature enough to do our job and be as friendly as we could be (well Craig might not have done that haha).

Then again we had enough help most of the time, and when people bitched about having to stay late past when they were scheduled they changed us to 2-11 (ha then we all bitched we lost hours) there was an attempt to make us happy while still keeping our customers happy, and keeping the store in good shape.

So how is it that now money is the only priority, not the customer, it's all about money. When was the last time a member of managment walked up to you and gave you a smiley sticker? When was the last time the store manager, distric manager, overnight manager, and opening assistant walked the floor, talked to all the associates on, including cashiers? When was the last time the store manager stood at the door talking to the people greeter, and was relaxed about it, smiled at the customers, and honestly tried to address the complaints they recieved? I have never seen Ryan look relaxed, she always looks stressed out, in a hurry, too busy for anything but making money. Money is of course the bottom line, when Alan was there there were layoffs after Christmas, and the way people were let go sucked major ass, it was not always good, it was not always fair, but it was better then it is now. If you did your job you were always fine, you didn't have to bust your ass, if you showed up, and did an honest days work you were fine.

It wasn't super when Penny was lead, it wasn't great when CSM's were allowed to make their own schedules and do whatever they wanted haha but you know what at least you felt like you could go and talk to someone and be taken seriously, not brushed off like you were a small child who didn't understand what was really happening. Perhaps the problem is that our distric manager and store manager are like other people who sterotype walmart associates as stupid and unable to grasp simple facts.
