In the library (Open, Multiple Threads Welcome)

Nyssa was the sort of person that kept her fears, sadness and worries inside of her if she thought that they would upset those around her. This remained a part of her personality here at the Hotel California; She and the other residents were prisoners in a gilded cage and the (Eighth) Doctor's own concerns forced her to push her own back and display her bravest face.

Like most residents, she had set to the task of attempting to find a way out of this place... and, like all of those before her, she was unsuccessful. Still, Nyssa of Traken had never been one to quit and so she settled herself in the library. The brunette was seated, comfortably, with a familiar notebook before it and a pencil in hand.

The pages of the notebook were filled with notes and equations and she tapped her pencil against the spiral, frowning as she eyed the Interociter that she turned over and over in one hand. There was only static on the other end and she could not quite decide why.

She let her thumb graze over to turn the thing on and set the channel to match the year and place she had left. "Hello? Can anyone hear me?"

There was no answer but for the static, of course. Nyssa sighed. "Why aren't you working, hm? I thought we had worked out all of the kinks..."

She quieted then and settled the communication device on the table and looked back to her notebook.

((EDIT: Now with proper spelling in the title. Enjoy!))
