Cosplay progress yayayay~~ ^_^
It's amazing how many smilies and fluffy thingies I have in my subject titles when my entries themselves always seem to be written in Proper English with British Spelling. It's guess it's part of an elaborate ploy to fool the masses into thinking I'm as candy-coated and girlishly-giggly as the people on my MSN contacts list, which is full of cuties who are attached.
Oh, life is painful when smilies are all that brightens your day.
But but but but but...... I have this, and this is like a bright ray of sunshine. This is about 60% of my EOY costume. This is made of win.
Ok, a bit of a letdown after all the buildup, ain't it? But I'm still immensely proud of myself because I did the whole dress, from pattern to panels, all by myself under my mother's watchful eye. She is truly a master seamstress, so like all masters she refused to help me with my cosplay for ages, until she caved and instructed me as to how to make this.
Which is wonderful. And brilliant. And amazing. (And I got called "stupid" about five times every session, but that's par for the course.) THANK YOU MUM EVEN THOUGH YOU BETTER NEVER READ MY LJ.
It took about three weeks, which is fucking long for such a simple dress, but I was working on something else at the time too so yayayayayay. And the sleeve/shoulder design is a BIT wrong, and the sleeves are a BIT tight, but I am too happy and exhausted to care.
I'm so happy happy happy~~
