its my birthday and this is my celebration (open)

So today is Harley's birthday. When she woke up, she had not felt much like celebrating until after an outpouring of support from her friends when she sent an update through her text message system. The support completely changed her mood. Finding out you were loved does that to a person.

So much had happened in the last week, with the new killings and the attack on Gibbs it was at least one thing to know who the killer was. It did not make anything easier with the fact that Ume was still at large. And it was difficult not to think about, but Harley was a little distracted with thoughts of her birthday and making plans now that her role as a mole in the criminal element of the City was no longer needed.

That was what brought her to a small warehouse this night. After all, even playing her role, Harley was a skilled criminal. And this warehouse contained all the items that she had stolen during her little act. It would provide a little distraction for her to do an inventory of everything, so she could return the items to the places she took them from.

Walking through the tiny room was a nice little walk down memory lane for her, with a mixture of wondering about what she was going to do for the future and just a little guilt for taking the items in the first place. The collection of stolen items ranged from plants to shoes to jewelry to toys and various little odds and ends.

Jotting down all the information on her little notepad, Harley stopped when she came to a little urn she had picked up from a funeral home. Touching the curves of the urn, her mind immediately went to her husband and how much she missed him now that he was dead. "What would you do, Spike?" She asked the urn, yes she is talking to objects now. "What advice would you give me now?"

For that one moment, everything seemed to stop and a feeling of calm washed over Harley. She had not mourned for her husband yet, due to the murders, but somehow she knew that he was at peace. It was actually nice to find that moment of peace in the middle of all the chaos of recent events.
