Taking it back
The city looks unwell with buildings decaying and all the people asleep or in hiding. This is not John's city anymore but it isn't the Strangers' city, either.
The little group comes warily out of the pit with Schreber trying to limp in the lead. He's keeping very close to Sarah right now but it's hard to tell who is protecting who. His arm is getting tired with the medical bag, but he can't really switch hands because he has the cane in the other one. Schreber feels like he should persnoally fix this. He should get John back somehow and make it all well. Schreber feels very lost and angry, but being angry is safer right now. He scowls at the crumbling buildings and the little girl who is supposed to help them.
