See...that information..finding out if your child has down syndrome is probably waaaay to far into the birth cycle to be aborted anyway. If someone even wants an abortion it should be done in the 1st cycle. But to find out if your child will have down syndrome before it is even born and deciding to abort it is wrong. We dont know how much we will love our child...cuz that only hits when the baby comes out and you actually see it. But, you CAN give it up for adoption..thats the other option. But darin.. i dunno what your arguing here anyways..that that information is wrong to find out..or you dont want a kid with down syndrome

He's the best example i can think of, im not sure if he has down syndrome, but he clearly has some form of mental retardation. And just look at him, he seems like one of the happiest kids at school. Everyone says hi to him, and whether or not theyre being sincere, he seems to think that everybody likes him. He gets to live in his own little world, and he seems pretty happy to me. Now im not saying people shouldnt have the option to abort a child with a disability, but i know that i could never do it with a clear conscience, and ill bet most of you couldn't either.

There are all different morals/limits for the pro-choice people. It may be too much of a romantic view but there are people out there to adopt a kid with downsyndrome. I think it's dumb you can find out your kid has downsyndrome before it is even born. People may want abortion illegal..but all this technology of knowing things before they happen like this should be illegal. Whatev abortion its a sticky situation..but its the womens choice..and their choice can't be restricted.

Its not only the womans choice. The man should be part of the descision as well, because the man produces half of that baby, thats just my opinion

There is no way me or anyone else, except those in similiar situations, can understand the kind of emotional pain you've gone through. I am glad that you found the courage to come out and say something and I hope that it helped you feel just a little bit better... Even the fact that you posted anonymously doesnt take away from the fact that you are a very brave person and I hope that you will continue to heal. Despite popular beliefs, I do believe in God, and I hope that he/she can help you through this better than any of us could

i dont know whether or not i know you, but if i do, im damn proud to. it definetly took courage to do that, and im glad that you found someplace that you could let it out. if there is anything that anyone can do to help or do anything, i know that just about everyone that has written in here will be willing to. good luck.

i urge you to tell someone. there are anonymous hotlines, there are support groups, there are many outlets that can help you. this person will do it again unless he is stopped. please consider it.

I think your Live Journal is great and you have some reall good discussions about current events that are very interesting to read but just be careful becuase you never know how you might come across and who you might affend even if you dont mean to....Just a thought to think about next time...
