Started work in the cardiac unit on Monday (I guess it barely counts since it was an orientation day, but anyway). Lots of new things and new terminology and new equipment and at the same time lots of things I haven't seen for over a year- making beds, meal cards, certain types of paperwork. I think it's going to be a good 8 weeks, but at the same time I can't wait to get back to emergency.

Uni seems like it's going to be pretty damn challenging. Lots of high expectations- but the good thing is that it's all totally directly related to my practice so maybe I will find it easier to learn/understand. Plus we have a group of us who have been carpooling to uni together and making plans to hang out during the year so that should be good.

I think this year might be the year of 'to do' lists because so far it's what's been getting me to actually do some work (and even some housework- isn't it strange that when you're studying, doing the dishes or sweeping the floor becomes a break rather than a chore?).

Have been watching Ashes to Ashes season 3 on ABC's iView...can't wait for episode 6 to be put up! I think waiting for them rather than downloading them gives me something to look forward to, much as with Community (last week was SO funny).

work, uni
