Virtual Questing

Tonight I went on a quest for a workable 3D video card for my computer. Right now I am using a ATI Rage Pro 8MB video card. I have a GeForce 2 video card which works well in Linux, but fails miserably in Windows 2000. So I need a video card which can work in Linux and Windows. A friend from work, Ross, gave me a TNT2 Ultra, but sadly my computer won't even boot it. I think I'll give it back to him. I called several friends in Stillwater and the most I could come up with was Brian may have one he might sell. Well he wasn't awake tonight to make that decision so I am out of luck for my quest tonight. I'll probably shop around during lunch tomorrow at local computer shops for some sort of ATI Radeon card. I have had very good luck with drivers for my ATI Rage Pro video card.

Now you may wonder why I want a 3D video card. The only games I seriously play are Civilization III and Alpha Centauri. However I am wanting to start playing Dark Ages of Camelot or at least try it out. This will mean I am spending more time in Windoze, but it is a risk I am willing to take on a limited basis.

That is all I am willing to share at this moment. I have shared too much and not enough. With any luck this will be read by nobody yet I hope everyone sees a glimpse of it.
