Halloween!

What a weekend! OMG! It was pretty awesome. J
Friday: Work dragged on and when it was all over I took Cate home and headed to Kitty’s. I got there and helped her finish getting ready then we got into our costumes and make-up. People started to arrive about 7:40 or so and they just kept coming. Soon there was standing room only. There were lots of cool people there and I just sat on the couch and watched and talked and laughed so much I lost my voice later that night. Cate came and brought her roommate. They had aweseome costumes and it was great to get to spend time out of the office with them. Kitty baked me amazing cookies and I got to meet a lot of great new people. I hid on the couch behind a pillow all night because my costume was too revelaing for me, but it was great! Like I said, standing room only. Mario and I left about 11pm or so. The underage person was getting drunk and that was not cool with me and I figured it was late and time to go.
We got to Mario’s house and he showed me around. It was just as I pictured it would be with Turtle stuff everywhere and games galore. It was nice looking. For a late b-day he surprised me with this BEAUTIFUL Pewter fairy with stained glass wings sitting on a turtle (get it?) and also two of the figures he collects to go with the one he got me when we first met. J I left there, headed home, talked to Corey for a while and then arrived home, and passed out.
Saturday: I woke up for therapy and dragged myself there. She was running later than I was, so she bought me an iced tea and we just went a little late with the session. It was a great session. I got a lot off my chest and she agreed with me that a hotel was needed for the Kentucky visit instead of staying with my grandmother. Dad agreed readily and all was good. I headed to Adams after grabbing some lunch and he showed me WoW. I liked it and am going to look into playing it. Then we took a little nap and he got ready and we headed out. We stopped at the apartment for the certificates I needed for the night and then we checked into the Sheraton in time to change and go to dinner.
Dinner was on the 26th floor and in a beautiful restaurant. The food was amazing, the service and the view. It was so good. We had clam chowder and there was bread and oil and vinegar and then I had salmon, and he had a pasta with clams. He also had a glass of wine and dessert and I was too stuffed for anything else. We charged the balance after the certificate to the room and headed back. The night was great and Adam broke down and had a $2 Snickers from the bar in the room. :-p
The next morning Adam woke me up early because he didn’t get the time right on the clock. They had already changed it, but he forgot that, and then added an hour instead of taking one away, so 9:30 was 8:30, but it turned out just perfect. We left and got breakfast at Jack in the Box (mmmm). We got to mom’s house and moved boxes and dad showed up and helped Adam with the heavy stuff. Then they left to go to the campsite and Adam and I returned to the apartment. He took my car and headed home to play wow and clean and I cleaned like crazy, got in a short nap and woke, showered and dressed and waited for him to come and get me. He called and said he locked my keys in the car. :-p So, he got a ride from his dad to his house, got his car, picked me up, we went to mom’s house, got my spare out of her car and then went to the gas station before going to Azteca to meet Adam’s Family. They had held off dinner for us. J
We got there and one person of the 6 at the table introduced themselves. She was the family friend. His uncle said hi as we were leaving and I had met his dad and step mom, but his grandparents didn’t say anything to me. I spent the night chatting with Adam and the family friend and then when we left the restaurant I talked with his dad and step mom for a bit. After that it was time to head home. I left Burien and went to borders to get a replacement DVD for my scratched Pirates of the Caribbean and ended up spending lots on good books and such. Dropped my spare at my moms and headed home. Once there I settled in and began to work on my needle point. Megan came over and got PISSED when I told her I was not moving until March, but she hid it well. Then it was time for bed and I was out like a light.
And that gets us to today.
The rain over the weekend did not damage the office and that thrills me. I have books to read and a little work to do. Kitty is in a horrid mood, but there is nothing I can do about that. It’s Halloween and I am looking forward to watching bad movies with dad while we feed candy to the Trick or Treaters. Life is good. J
