Oh noes
So, in the internet world of knitting, everyone says that once you start knitting socks, you become addicted. I have never knitted a sock, and I was a little intimidated because...you know...shaping and shit. But I found a super easy patter on Thursday night and just started.
And now I know that it's all true. It's so shameful. I was planning on going to church tomo...oh wait, TODAY, but stayed up later than I had planned because I wanted to finish the decreases on the gusset of my sock (see - I've even got some of the sock lingo down too!), and by the time I finished, it was 1 am. Oh goodness. Of course this sock? is #2. That's right - I'll be done with my first pair of socks sometime tomorrowtoday and you have no idea how excited i am.
the best part is that they actually fit too! i was a little worried because i have a tendency to not do a swatch (which can be imporant with knitting), and i just started with the yarn and needles, and i think i was just very lucky and the sock ended up fitting perfectly. not too tall on my leg, not too tight, but also not falling down too loose.
i'm so proud. hm...i want to make knee socks.
