Well I managed to avoid catching a cold. The airplanes and airports are really germ exchange centers. I took some herbs to boost my immune system (turmeric mostly, but also the cayenne pepper) and avoided getting a cold.

The food here is just horrible. A typical breakfast is sausage, a boiled egg, boiled tomato if you're lucky, and a ton of beans. I can't even describe what makes the food taste bad. It isn't greasy like Texan food, it is more... like everything was boiled with a bit of fat. I had lasagna and it was also awful, the dish was bland, the carrots and peas on the side were boiled and devoid of flavor. I think that's it, everything is simply devoid of flavor. Boiled away the nutrition and flavor.

My intestines haven't been happy, I had some curry on Saturday and it was also greasy. Not good. The doctor said something is definitely wrong with my stomach, he suggested no tap water (I brought a lot of bottled water) and to eat light sugary snacks. I lost about 20 pounds, most of it being the connecting tissue.

The main reason I think I'm sick is just a completely different microbe environment, especially in my gullet.
