So I'm in Doncaster, UK and quite a lot has happened. I just got my phone back today and if anyone is trying to contact me my number is 07534 385957 or 011 447534 385957 depending on where you are calling from. (Mbwalji? Saebah?) I'm at Caribbean hotel which is quite nice.
On the other hand, the hospitals are not nice. Neither is the food. I went to the hospital on Saturday and Monday, and I've lost a ton of weight from being sick. My flesh is all sunken in and I'm having trouble eating. I spent 3 days bedridden but I'm able to walk a bit now. I also just had my power converter returned to me today so I can do acupuncture and TDP lamp on myself. I tried to pay an acupuncturist to do TDP or moxibustion treatment, but they weren't allowed to due to regulation.
Regulations, rules, systems of control are very big here. The people are very polite, but usually the rules forbid them from doing what they need to do, like give me insulin or allow me to give myself insulin. 4.5 hours of convulsing on the ground later, I was allowed to take the insulin I brought with me. The doctors often don't believe me, so I was forced to look up the actual official name of my conditions so the next doctor might believe me. Diabetic amyotrophy peripheral neuropathy fasticulation. That means two things: sometimes I get tired and shake a lot. Treatment: food and insulin. Time spent trying to convince various people of this very simple thing: about 7 hours so far this trip.
Complicating the health issues is the fact I've had 4 hotels in 5 days for various reasons, some of which I have no clue about. I think I finally have my bearings, but I don't know what I'm doing next still. I really need to work. Right now, I need to go back to sleep.
