Didn't realize that I have a thing for scents. I stopped with the home scents when I started having babies. It was a fire hazard thing. I gave up on candles and also that expensive "lampe" that I got as a present. But now, I've rediscovered my love for home scents ( Read more... )

I love the smell of cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg :-) It reminds me of x-mas cookies.

A trick that I learned from my Auntie is to boil then gently simmer in very low heat cinnamon sticks, leftover vanilla beans and other nice smelling herbs in water. Lemons and oranges work well too.

I personally love the smell of Chinese 5 spice. Sweet and spicy!

You just have to be careful not to forget that you have something on the stove.

I love Bungalow vetiver & grapefruit. In our bedroom, I use Archipelago Santorini which my husband likes better than the vetiver.

For my kitchen, I have on standby Cucina kitchen spray in orange. Also, Cath Kidston room neutralizing spray.

Like you, I stopped having scents both for room & myself when I got pregnant and the kids were babies. I started having them again 2 yrs ago. For myself, been using Chanel Chance parfum & hair mist.

I suggest you grow kamuning plants directly on your ground, not pots, for frequent outrageous fragrant blooms. Easy-to-grow hardy plant. I think you will love it. Mine is the star of my garden whenever in bloom and I am growing seedlings to share with my plant-loving friends.

We get our home fragrances from the Body Shop. Our family favorites are Greem Tea, Pomegranate, and Red Poppies.

But whenever we run out of stock, we just brew some coffee and the smell pretty much makes everyone in our home happy - coffee lovers that we are. :)

It's the loss of air that extinguishes the flame on the tin can. No air, no flame.
