House of Edwin Lim, an engineer by profession
Last week I had my first shoot with UZ. It was at the house of Edwin Lim, an engineer by profession. This is the third house he and his wife have built for themselves. They've moved and upgraded til they built their "dream house."
Obviously the highlight of this house is the covered courtyard where they harness a lot of natural light and cross-ventillation. Here are more photos...
Reverse view of the courtyard
He painted the glass with white automotive paint to achieve opaqueness. It was inspired by the Prado Museum in Madrid.
A hallway/walkway wraps around the second floor with a view into the courtyard.
They have a nice roof deck which I assume is perfect for summer nights. We were up on the roof at noontime though.
I haven't posted Urban Zone homes in a while. Did you catch this episode? Your thoughts...
And if you could build your dream house now, what would it look like?
