Fragrance

I got some press kits from Luxasia over the holidays - all about fragrances. It took me a while to write about it because I was just getting reacquainted with the world of fragrances. I remember my first real designer cologne was Calvin Klein's Obsession. We were in our early teens and my brother gave me a bottle as a gift for Christmas. I still ( Read more... )

Personally, I went through a whole bottle (small one) of Marc Jacobs' Daisy because it was floral and light. I just recently bought D&G 18 La Lune. It is described as hypnotizing. I might return it though as I realize that the whole D&G Fragrance collection is available as a collection but in smaller sizes. The logic being the consumer can match the fragrance to their mood. I suggest you give that one a try.

Two years ago it kinda became a chore to spritz on some perfume or even go to a store and buy one. Lately I've been rediscovering the "niceness" of it. I'm loyal to Amarige by Givenchy (after testing a bottle from my mom's perfume cabinet). The scent is subtle enough for the day but strong and lasting for the night. For weekends with the family I stick to GAP Dream, Curve body mist by Liz Claiborne, Juniper Breeze or Apple by Bath & Body Works.

6 years ago, I used to use Pleasures by Estee Lauder and Woman (i think) by Hugo Boss but I noticed that the scents have changed that's why I stopped.

i used to do designer perfumes since high school but when i started working, i developed an allergy to most. i love the d&g blue but now i share bea's bench cologne. i love it.
i have the tendency to spritz and spritz when in stress..it drives my friends crazy so i stick to lighter colognes that fade away fast.
the more i spray, the more stressed i am, for sure..haha.

I finally created an LJ account so I can leave comments on your blog!!!

Anyway, my perfume is Lanvin Eclat D'Arpege. Been my EDP for a decade now. I try to switch fragrances whenever Luxasia sends me stuff but I always go back to my Lanvin. It's a very mild perfume (not like those overpowering, migraine-inducing stuff) and I love it because on me, it starts out as floral but the longer it's on my skin, it changes to this warm chocolate-y smell. So yummy! And I tried spritzing Lanvin on other women and it smells like chocolate on me and me alone! So it's MINE!
