Clover Point BaCC - Third Fall - Kratz Family
Hello fellow simmers!
I've had more time to play this week, so I'm here with a new chapter. This time, we're going to see what happened with the Kratz family.
Last time, Bastian and Ivy had a baby boy, Davy, and opened their business, Kr'Artz Supplies. Bastian also reached the top of the entertainment career. At the end of the summer, Ivy was pregnant with their second child, who we'll meet below. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a family picture... But there are not too many people yet, so I think you'll all be fine, lol.
Davy is now a cute toddler and his father takes good care of him, while Ivy rests. Her pregnancy is taking its toll...
"Hi, Mom! Yes, we're all good, how is everything back home? Really? Are you serious! Wow! That's great, you deserve it, you've worked so hard! Yes, you know it's always been my dream. Did you? Thanks, Mom! I love you, too. Bye!"
Bastian was elated to learn that his mother's retirement meant he could finally get a job in the Slacker career.
He waisted no time and looked at the job offers on the computer. Sadly, Elisabeth's position was not posted yet. He would have to keep an eye out for it.
Bastian decided to open up Kr'Artz Supplies, since he had some free time. He was getting better at this business thing. He got his bronze cash register badge and brought the store to rank 2.
"Are you sure you don't mind going to the store alone, Bastian?"
"Don't be silly, Ivy! You have to take care of yourself and the baby. That's what's important."
"Ugh, I feel so gross... So fat and ugly..."
"Don't say that. You look just as beautiful as when we got married, you sexy thing."
"Bastian!"
That afternoon, it was Davy's birthday party, but Bastian had to work. He left just after greeting his parents, his sisters and his brother-in-law.
Davy was excited to get to know his family.
"'tie Mac, 'tie Mac!"
"Hey there, big boy! I can't believe you're already aging."
"Today, my day! Blow cake!"
"That's right, you will! And maybe soon, you can come over to my house to meet your cousins. Would you like that?"
"Cousins! Yee!"
Emma also took time to talk with her nephew.
"You're so cute with your blonde hair!"
"Me cute!"
Ivy took Davy to the kitchen, where his cake awaited. Everyone gathered around them, cheering.
"Me blow cake, Mommy?"
"Yes, Davy! You can, now, it's time!"
And our little boy was finally all grown up (well, he thought so!).
"Uncle Aaron, Uncle Aaron! Did you see me blow the candles?"
"I sure did, Davy!"
"I made a wish!"
"Make sure you keep it a secret, then, if you want it to become real."
"Okay. And can I come visit Rhett and Scarlett, soon? Auntie Mac says they will also have a birthday."
"Of course, you'll be more than welcome!"
During the night, Ivy felt the first pangs of labor.
And soon after, she was holding a beautiful, healthy baby girl. She was named Dora. (Davy and Dora Keith were character in Anne of Avonlea from Lucy Maud Montgomery). Like her big brother, she had brown eyes and blonde hair.
As soon as he got back from work, Bastian rushed to come meet his daughter.
"Hello, little Dora. Daddy is so happy to finally be able to talk to you! You're perfect, little angel."
"Isn't she?"
Early that morning, Davy did what all the Clover Point residents do, he jumped rope and found his One True Hobby, fitness.
Later, Bastian had lunch with his son. Davy was happy to be a big brother, but Dora was still too young to play with him.
"Daddy, how can I make new friends?"
"Well, you have to be courageous and go talk to the kids you don't know."
"You want me to talk to strangers?"
"No! No, Davy, not to adults, but to the children at your school, the ones that are in your class, or on your bus."
"And they'll be my friends?"
"If you're nice to them, yes."
Davy, in his brand new clothes, got some practice at meeting new people with Oliver Cameron, his parents' friend.
"Mr. Cameron, do you have a lot of best friends?"
"A few, yes."
"And will you be mine?"
"I hope we can become best friends over time, like I'm friends with your dad, Davy."
"Cool!"
Ivy made sure to help her son with his homework, so that his grades would improve.
As for Bastian, he tried his hand at cooking breakfast... Let's just say he's not as talented as Ivy!
Ouch! That looks painful! But he thinks it's the most fun... Who am I to judge?
"Oh, Bastian, you're here."
"Yup, did you need something?"
"I don't know... I just felt the need to rush to the bathroom, but now I can't remember..."
"Well, the toilet will be clean soon, if that's what you needed to use."
"I don't think so. I doesn't matter."
Ivy went to read a story to Davy. She couldn't recall why she wanted to be in the bathroom...
Davy spent some more time rope jumping. And as you can see, his hair grew and he wanted to keep it long. I think it suits him.
My simself's boyfriend, Frank, walked by and Davy started to talk to him, even though his father had told him not to talk to stranger. I guess Frank looks like an honest man...
"Hey, sir! Do you know Carla Rice?"
"Oh yes! She's a fine looking lady!"
"I think so, too! She's the most beautiful girl in the world. I will marry her someday."
"Aren't you a little young for her?"
"I'll be bigger, soon, you'll see!"
"Well, pal, we'll have to keep looking from afar, because she's madly in love with her husband..."
(Hey, Frank! You're actually married yourself, buddy!!! Pff! Men!)
Inside, Ivy suddenly remembered why she had run to the toilet earlier... Could she possibly be pregnant again?
Either way, she felt good enough to go to Kr'Artz supplies and earn it a few more customer stars.
Oh! And look, we got our proof that the Kratz family will indeed be welcoming another baby soon!
Davy likes to paint, when he's not jumping rope.
I made a few changes to the house, since it was getting small for a family of four who's going to be a family of five very soon. Mainly, the back was expanded to add a third bedroom and a second bathroom.
Louise Binchy came back home with Davy, after school, that day. They had a blast playing cops and robbers and jumping in the leaves. They fastly became friends. That would make their mothers proud!
"Yes, little Dora, Mommy loves you. I can't belive how fast you're growing..."
Ivy was right, because it was already time for Dora to become a toddler. Unlike her brother, she didn't have a big party, but she didn't mind.
And here's what our girl looks like after her makeover. Isn't she just lovely? I think she's my prettiest in-game born sim ever! And she's a Gemini (2/10/10/76), EXACTLY like her brother... hum. Am I getting the clone curse? I did make sure to hit the randomizer in CAS, though...
"Here you go, sweetie. Drink your smart milk while Daddy gets changed and then we'll do something exciting!"
"That's right, get up! You can do it! You're doing great, Dora. Daddy is proud of you."
In no time at all, Bastian had taught his daughter how to walk.
Pop! The third child is almost here!

"I'm gonna eat you, Dora, I'm gonna eat you!"
"No, no eat Dora! Ha ha ha!"
Just look at how happy she is! Cutest girl ever!
Bastian made sure Dora was potty trained.
Then, he went to Kr'Artz Supplies where he got his bronze restocking badge, made good sales, brought the store to rank 3 and apparently, was very hot.
As you can see, it's been improved a bit, with displays. Also, it now sells more art related supplies.
Davy finally got an A+ report card. He was really proud!
"Dora, can you say Mommy?"
The toddler just wouldn't.
Instead, her very first word was high-chair. Yes, that's plausible. Particularly since she's never ever seen one in her short life...
Davy did his homework, because he wanted to keep his good grades.
And one last time before the season's end, Bastian looked for his dream job. He had looked every day since his mother had told him a position in the slacker field was now available, but it never came up in his search. He was starting to wonder if he would ever fulfil his dream...
That night, he was awoken by Ivy voice.
"Bastian, the baby's coming, get up!"
"I'm up, I'm up..."
And here we have another perfect little girl. Her name is Anne, after the heroine of Anne of Green Gables, Anne Shirley. Can you see a trend? ;)
Anne has the same exact coloring as her sibblings, so I'm wondering if I got myself another clone... We'll have to wait and see!
Bastian and Ivy left their kids with their grandmother so they could open the store one last time this season.
Together, they brought to store to rank 4. Not bad, when you think it was at rank 1 at the beginning of Fall.
So, that's it for now for the Kratz family! I decided I'll move them to a bigger house at the beginning of the next rotation because they have the money, and they need the space. We'll see how that goes...
