Well, we're finally moved in, *groan* and I'm sore, not to mention I haven't slept in almost a week. -_-
The place is in Valley Pointe Estates, and was one of the showhomes, so it's actually nicely done, stone floors, carpeted berdooms, hardwood living room (huge, with a _really_ high cealing), gas fireplace, built in security sys, ect ect, and a completely unfinished basement, so my room is, well, my boxes are the only thing defining the walls right now, not to mention it's nice and cold at night. At least I got to decide where I wanted my room ^_^
We rented a truck yesterday to move the main furniture, and ended up getting an extra load out of it, while the rest of it has been moved via our suburban, and a borrowed trailer.
Not much else to say I guess, other than I'm stuck on dialup until the cable guy comes back (hense why I haven't been online lately). -_- All the hard lines were in, except of course from the box to the house. Lets not forget that they forgot to actually hook up the fireplace at first, or actually could be bothered to put the sealer on the granite-coat on the front steps (so they're chipping quite nicely -_- )
Well, if anyone is wondering, I was a bit off on my guess before, we're actually six blocks from the seven11, (the one furthest form the mall). I've pretty much memorised the speed changes along the route here now, so when that new radar gun is put in place, it shouldn't be a problem (I don't think they've had the display up very long, so it may be a while). N e way, from the last turn into the fort (going towards the sherwood park)- off highway 15 (the one with the maple tree grill), it's straight down to the T, then right, and follow it to the last right before the gravel starts (which goes down to the boat launch btw), and we're the third house along the left.
I gotta get that old moped insured already, cuz there is no way in hell I'm walking that far... Hmm.. with plates it should be about 150$, and *kiss my ass*, it gets 50km to the liter ^_^ -who cares if it only has a 2L tank, ne? Ok, so it does top out at 40kph, but in the fort I'm not going to be needing any more than that.
Just the last bits are still at the old place, and I think we'll be getting those on friday, which will be when the cleanup job starts *sigh*
Now that I think about it, I need to get ahold of Curtis to see if he still wants those bike wheels, and I'm still waiting for that manga back Jess...
