Tears of Eternity

   Maybe by tomorrow,
   The rain will cease to fall
   Hard on the hearts of many

Maybe by the dawn,
   The dew will hang low
   Breathing in a new day

But for now,
   It's too cold outside to sleep
   And too loud to hear

The whispers of eternity..

The warmth of another, in my arms
   As I sit solumnly by the fire
   Ablaze within the eyes of shadows

For an instant the world is perfect
   Serenity of oblivion
   In the halls of memory

For now I sit alone
   Watching the darkness
   As it bleeds the light from vision

The tears of eternity

The skies above are cloudy
   And the road's hard to see
   But I've got more to do, before I'm done

I feel tired, but too aware too sleep
   Too gone to return, the place I came from
   Is already long gone

Still the road keeps on telling me to go on
   Though there's only more road ahead
   I wonder what's beyond
