Since I cannot finish my sonata yet and Elizaveta is busy in the kitchen--ah, the galley, I have decided to utilize this online journal to post my thoughts for the time being. However, because this is my first entry, I believe that an introduction is rather necessary ( Read more... )

Hi! You're a pirate? I'm a pirate too! I have more than just two people on my ship though. Are you guys really okay like that?

Mm, I am. It doesn't exactly fit my personality but Elizaveta insisted that we become pirates since we're traveling on a ship now.

Oh, we're fine. We have a small staff to support us.

Being a pirate is fun! How come you say it doesn't fit your personality? Don't you like to have fun?

Well, no, I do enjoy having fun, but I lack experience in pirating so it's all very new for me.

It's beautiful! You always have the best piano music! You and Germany!

I want to hear you play it in person some time!

I'm glad you think so, Feliciano. Ah, I suppose we do have the best piano music out there. At least of the classical variety.

Mm, you will very soon.

Classical music is my favorite kind! Germany has Beethoven and Bach and you have Mozart and the von Trapp Family Singers!

Are you planning on meeting up with the S.S. Pasta?

Yes, he does have Beethoven and Bach. And Handel. And Wagner too. I need to talk to him about this.

Ah, the Von Trapp Family. I'm flattered that you know of such wonderfully proud Austrians, Feliciano. I am rather fond of Captain Von Trapp's rendition of "Edelweiss" though.

I am. I spoke to Ludwig last night about it. We'll be traveling alongside you rather soon.

I have a friend who'd like that piece. I've been more interested in Bach lately. Particularly his Brandenburg Concertos. The Allegro Assai from his Violin Concerto #2 is one I've been working on. Do you do magical music?

Bach, although technically German, is also excellent and I do enjoy that piece.

Magical music? I'm not sure I follow.

I don't know anything about German or whatever. I'm from the Musical continents. I grew up in Anthem.

Mm if you don't follow you must not do it. Music with magical properties. The idiot with the piano can bring out a firebird. I thought everyone knew about magical music though.

... How curious. I've never heard of such a thing. Where would Anthem be located?

Well, no. I just thought you meant that all music is magical or something like that.

Ha. Welcome to the network and the Grand Line, then, Austria. Hold on to your pants, you're in for one wild ride.

Ah, thank you. I'll have to make sure my pants are tightly belted, won't I?

I always love a good piano song. Though usually I prefer something I can sing with. Got anything with a lute on hand? I think the lute is traditional in Austria, right? It's been awhile since I was there.

I don't think I so, sadly. I'll have to check my other CDs if I have anything, but yes, there is lute music in Austria. It technically isn't native to it but some composers used it.
