Ugh, this song. I guess Flashback!Elena has terrible taste in music? And seriously awkward dance moves. Did anyone else find her cheerful jigging strangely awkward-looking? Perhaps I just don't recognize what happiness is anymore.

Omg word to Jenna being useless. Honestly, she was so useless I didn't even mention how useless she was in my recap (well, mine wasn't so much a recap as a rant but okay). Seriously though it felt like pure fan service to have Jenna there. And I'm still puzzled by the whole "You'll get me in trouble" thing??? Did she seriously fucking just mean that she exposed Elena to coffee??? Because those levels of wholesome are just scary to the point where they are not wholesome anymore. And I was SO DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE I WAS SO SURE WE WERE LEADING TO A SUPER COOL 'ELENA SMOKES POT WITH AUNT JENNA SCENE'. But no. Elena is a perfect child. People worry when she looks the wrong way at coffee.
Meredith tries to reassure Jeremy, and I find her fairly sympathetic here. I am down with the idea of keeping Meredith around, though I must admit I'm not thrilled at what I suspect will be done with her. But I suppose we'll see.
HIGH FIVE. I thought I was the only one who liked her. What do you suspect will be done with her? Please tell me she's not going to become Damon's next love interest who is not actually a love interest? And then die?
Oh man since yours is a recap and therefore noting everything in the ep I've realised… I ACTUALLY HAD MORE FEELS. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?
Um.
I loved "parade of vampires" partly because lol, and partly because there's just something marvellously non-territorial about it. It kind of felt like he was putting himself and his brother in a line with Caro, Tyler, Abby… all valid vampy protectors for Elena. I liked it.
