my on-going teeth saga

Today I spent 1.5 hours in the dentist chair. Gagged 4 or 5 times. He was preparing two upper molars for crowns, which will arrive in two weeks. Until then, I'm sporting some temporary silver crowns, so I got me a side grill going on, yo. No eating on that side of the mouth, he says. After an hour into the drilling and lasering, I started squirming... hell, I was sick of it. But I got through it. It wore me the fuck out though. Anyways, I go back into the office in two weeks for the crowns. I go into the office in one week for "hygiene". I don't know if this is the gum disease part, because they took an impression of my lower teeth today. But they didn't take an impression of my uppers (probably will wait for my crowns to be put in). I have a feeling this will be a long, drawn-out process... which will bother me during my vacation.

Anyways, the dentist prescribes some antibiotics and pain meds, so I go to Kaiser for the first time. It was a zoo in there, lots of kids running around. It quieted down a few minutes later when they left. I've had Kaiser for two years, but never had to use it. Since I've never used it, they couldn't find my file for a while... then they found it, and they processed my prescriptions. Woot, prescription-strength 800mg of ibuprofen, take with food, may get woozy. I might have to get meds more often to see that cute Asian pharmacist again.
