So I totally didn't realize that last time I'd posted was after a two week gap. And holy crap it's been another entire week since I even posted that. Time, she is a-flyin'.
Even with my close friends, it has become harder and harder to keep in touch over the years, and I was a little worried this would make plans less awesome than usual this year. Fortunately this has not been the case. It's just a really awesome feeling to have gone to a dinner/party that we all planned out for Wednesday, and then immediately having been invited to plans the next night and the next three weekends. And last night I made plans for Sunday. Today and tomorrow-day is reserved for working on my pesky extended CSC245 final, and probably most of Sunday evening and Monday day, because it's really going to take that long. But I'm glad I already have plans for like every other second, including possibly Monday night. That's what "break" has always meant for me and I've always liked it.
Thursday day was quality time with my extended family and tonight will be quality time with the immediate fam. I think I'm going to break out the "big news" and see how they take it. I kind of don't want to, just because it'll be slightly awkward on several levels. I imagine it will come up soon anyway though even if I don't bring it up. I can't believe how quickly the last month has passed...
To sum up my classes a little: Chinese was fun, I got an A and I'm taking the next level next term. Latin was OK, I'm guessing I got a B+ and I am not pursuing the language any more. I mean, I really feel like I shouldn't have been figuing out latin words from knowing the English roots... that is not why I took the course :P. English was pretty boring, I blew it off a bit, that's the last wimpy English course for me and I should get an A- (an A if I'd tried :P). CS was... a little fun but mostly hard and annoying. I still have a project due but I'm pretty sure I won't get above a C+ in that class, period. I need to learn to stop taking these courses even when they sound so fun. And that's the course wrapup.
Oh, my cousin at T-giving hinted that she might be able to get me a job, basically stringing beads for a homemade jeweler in Newton. She's Israeli and looking for cheap part time work, both plusses for me (I like Israelis). I expect to find out soon. Yay for [hopefully] continuing to stumble into jobs at the last second.
Time to start my project... if the rest of my weekend is to go as planned, I need to chip away at this monster right now. Fun.
